15 Easy Ways To Turn All Those Empty Liquor Bottles Into Something Cute

SHARE
Okay, I'm just going to put this out here right away: 90% of the reason why I choose the booze (beer, wine, or liquor) I drink is because of the bottle. There are so many beautiful, classy, or interesting bottles out there. I'm a fan of simple and elegant. I used to keep all of these bottles, but they were just sitting on a cupboard, not really doing anything other than displaying my shamefully large consumption of spiced rum (those Kraken bottles though...). The problem is that empty bottles of alcohol lying around the house, no matter how cute the bottles are, just look like you're either too lazy to do bottle returns, or you're an alcoholic. BUT...take those pretty bottles and turn them into something else, and you'll have people oooing and ahhhing over your handiwork.

This really is the best kind of DIY because you get to have the fun of consuming what's in the bottles, and it's "necessary" because you're doing a project, which is productive, that requires those bottles. So go ahead and pour yourself a drink as you plan your next DIY to accomplish and comment below to let us know what bottle of booze you'd want included in your own bottle DIY.

1. Candle with wooden wick

This DIY tells you how to easily cut a bottle in half safely. Remember to always be careful around the sharp edges and to sand them down once it's halved.

Pro-tip: #5 is another great candle DIY!

2. Mini bottle lights

Because bourbon lights up my life. <3

3. Bird feeder

This DIY is not intensive by any means, but it will take a couple days to complete due to drying time.

4. Beer bottle tumbler

Craft beers often come in really cute bottles and it always seems to be a shame to part with them so quickly. Now you never have to! These tumblrs would be absolutely perfect for a home bar.

Pro-tip: If you like this, check out #11. It's my favorite!
