Stove Top Wins The Internet With Their Stretchy Thanksgiving Dinner
Pants

Stove Top Wins The Internet With Their Stretchy Thanksgiving Dinner Pants

What's my secret to staying comfortable after my third helping at Thanksgiving dinner? Leggings. Paired with a cute tunic or dress, they have tons of room for stretching while still remaining more event-appropriate than sweatpants.

But not everyone has that option, so Stove Top came to the rescue this year with their "fashionable" Thanksgiving dinner pants.

Please note the scare quotes there, because even though Stove Top is advertising the pants' appearance, they are totally in on their own joke.

They aren't just in on it. They're jumping in with both feet and a gravy boat of irony.

The stretchy pants are basically maternity pants with a stuffing theme, which would be a tough sell if it weren't for the genius commercial.

You know those '80s commercials with the hammy acting and over-the-top voiceover?

Well, Stove Top recreated the idea perfectly and then turned it up to 11.

Special shout-out to the actor playing the dad, who is giving 210% in every single shot!

"You can try to make your own stretchy pants, but bags of rubber bands can cost tens of dollars!"

I'm sure Stove Top didn't expect the pants to sell out quite so fast, but I'm also sure they're happy to see it!

Of course, some people haven't quite caught on that it's a joke...

But that's okay! Because while those sourpusses are having a boring, single-serving dinner, we'll all be having a great time making room for that fourth helping of stuffing!

SHAREthis story with everyone you know who could use a good laugh!

Danish Delicacy Long Eggs Put A New Spin On An Old Classic

Danish Delicacy Long Eggs Put A New Spin On An Old Classic

At a certain point in your life, you think you've eaten just about everything you'll ever eat, and the variations keep meals exciting and new. It's the unexpected that you look forward to — but you have to think you've seen it all from certain staples.
Eggs, for example, are a pretty versatile food, but there's only so much you can do with them, right? Fry them, scramble them, boil or poach them, and beyond that, what can you do? Well, here's something you might not have seen before...

If you'd love eggs like these, SHARE this!

If you've ever been presented with perfectly even slices of hard-boiled egg, you must have wondered how they managed to get such consistent slices.

You were probably also in Europe, because they come from a Danish delicacy.

If you're slicing up eggs at home with a slicer, you know that you're going to get all different sizes of slices because of the egg's shape.

As it turns out, those perfectly even slices come from one long boiled egg!

We know the egg didn't come out of the chicken like that.

So how the heck do you end up with these long eggs that slice up so nicely?

As you might have guessed, it starts with a machine and a whole lot of eggs.

The eggs get washed and moved along

Another machine cracks all the eggs open, one by one.

After they're cracked, the egg yolks and whites get separated.

The yolks go on a journey to be mixed together in a large vat...

While the whites go on a similar journey of their own.

When each of them has been stirred up, the whites are first injected into a mold with a hole in the center.

They'll be boiled up nice and white.

When the whites are sufficiently cooked, the stirred-up yolks are injected into the middle of the cooked egg whites.

It's a majestic sight when these come rolling off the production line...

After they've been cooked up, quality inspectors will trim off any ugly ends so consumers will get a pristine sunny circle inside perfect snowy whites.

Just look at all those long eggs ready for market!

It's even possible to make long eggs at home!

SHARE this if you'd love a plate full of perfect eggs!

12 Ways You've Been Cleaning Your Kitchen Wrong All Along

12 Ways You've Been Cleaning Your Kitchen Wrong All Along

Your kitchen is where you prepare the meals that are going to nourish you and your family. It's also the place where germs are more likely to be spread in a way that could cause sickness. The truth is that most of us are too busy to give a second thought about HOW we are cleaning our kitchen. So, here are a few things that you're probably cleaning wrong and should change immediately!

1. You're ignoring your reusable bags

A study from a university found E. Coli on bags. Think about it like this: you're putting in raw meats, you're touching dirty grocery carts and then touching your bags... and I bet it never even crossed your mind to clean those bags. Yuck! There's no use in saving the planet if you forget to save yourself too.

2. If you have to think long and hard about the last time (if ever) you cleaned your water filter... you're doing it wrong

Changing the filter is not enough. Wash with hot soapy water and dry completely.

3. You're cleaning your cutting boards with soap and water

You cut raw meat on your cutting boards... so you should be using bleach to disinfect the board. Dish soap simply isn't enough.

4. You're air-drying your cast iron pan

This is the easiest way to rust your cast iron.

Think all-purpose cleaner is good? Well you're not using it correctly if you're...

5. You're using your all-purpose cleaner on stainless steel

You're not going to get the shine and clean that you want from your steel appliances using an all purpose cleaner. Get one made for stainless steel and then wipe with the grain.

5. You're putting all your glassware in the dishwasher

Vintage and sensitive glasses should be hand-washed.

6. You're organizing your spoons in the dishwasher

Whether you're a handle up or handle down kind of person, you're probably organizing them all the same way. They're actually going to get cleaned better if you distribute some handle up and some handle down.

7. You're not cleaning your dishwasher door

The amount of germs and grime that build up along the seal is disgusting. And then you clean your dishes in there?? NOPE.

You use this next appliance every day without a second thought.

8. You think coffee makers magically clean themselves

They don't. Descale it once a month and wash the nozzle and wipe the outside at least once a week.

9. You're forgetting garbage disposals

Flush them out every once in awhile and remember to send down ice cubes and lemon peels to deodorize.

10. You're being cruel to you knives

I can't say this enough: KNIVES SHOULD NEVER BE CLEANED IN THE DISHWASHER. Hand wash. Dry. And put away. RIGHT AWAY. Every time. No exceptions.

11. Handles and knobs are collecting germs

Your family touches the handles and knobs on the fridge and cupboards throughout the day, everyday, spreading germs to them. You then go into your kitchen to cook and are touching the same handles. See the problem? Give them a wipedown with antibacterial spray often.

Drinking Water With Meals Tricks Your Brain Into Thinking You're Full

Drinking Water With Meals Tricks Your Brain Into Thinking You're Full

It's amazing to see how simple the answer to a widespread problem can be. Last month, Russian scientists were able to create a drug that seemed to stop skin cancer from spreading without harming any non-cancerous cells. How did they do it? They put together some compounds taken from simple dill and parsley seeds.

Surprisingly, it wasn't until 1846 that a doctor named Ignaz Semmelweis realized that washing his hands prevented him from spreading illnesses between procedures.

Yet sometimes these "a-ha" moments can be helpful for all of our daily lives. Today, we're going to look at a simple way to eat healthier without having to make any major changes and tell you how scientists have figured it out.

Please SHARE this on Facebook and let others know how easy it can be to make a positive change.

We all indulge a little too much sometimes.

Overeating often happens before you realize it, leaving you feeling uncomfortable and bloated for the rest of the day.

But researchers have a figured out a way to nip this behavior in the bud.

It turns out it's as simple as drinking water while you eat.

Wait, how does that work?

It has to do with how your brain "listens" to your stomach while you eat. To test this out, researchers had their subjects show up with an empty stomach and drink a milkshake.

Then they split their participants into two groups.

One group followed their shakes with a small, two-ounce glass of water while the other had a larger, 12-ounce glasses.

Then the researchers performed MRI scans on their subjects.

They found that the more water you put in your stomach, the more it fools a certain part of the brain into thinking you're full.

Sure enough, the subjects with the larger water glass also felt less hungry.

So the research team concluded that simply adding water distends the stomach and makes you feel full sooner so you can comfortably enjoy what you're eating.

Their findings were part of the European Nudge-it research project.

This project is all about finding simple lifestyle changes like this to promote healthier eating. After all, we all know how much of a chore it can normally be.

This combines two of my greatest loves - cheesecake and Nutella. This one is so easy to do, I think I might whip this one up this weekend! It's perfect because when you're having a big meal, you might not have oven space to do a baked cheesecake. This will ensure that you get all that creamy and delicious, nutty, chocolatey delight without having to worry about how to cook it.

Plus, when you're having guests over, this is the PERFECT recipe for making it up in advance so that you don't have to worry about it when you're entertaining.
