This Creamy Chocolate Chia Pudding Is The Deliciously Healthy Way To Indulge

I'm the kind of person who NEEDS to have dessert after dinner every night. It's how I was raised. Dinner wasn't over until you had dessert. And while that is certainly the most delicious way to live, it's not necessarily the most nutritious way to live. So, to satisfy both my sweet tooth and my health, I've started indulging in healthy desserts. This dessert is chocolatey, creamy, and has an amazing texture because of the chia seeds. Cocoa powder has many health benefits, as do chia seeds.

What you'll need:


- 1 cup almond (or soy) milk
- ½ cup coconut milk
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder (unsweetened)
- ⅓ cup chia seeds
- 1 tablespoon maple syrup (or honey, agave...whatever you prefer to use to sweeten)
- toppings (this is where the sky's the limit. You're limited only by your imagination.)


The method: 

Combine your ingredients in a jar (other than the toppings), shake to mix. Leave in fridge 5-8 hours or overnight. That's it. You have delicious pudding that is ready for whatever toppings your heart desires. Here are some delicious suggestions: fruit, toasted coconut chips, coconut whipped cream, goji berries, chocolate chips, nuts, melted peanut butter, etc. Enjoy to your heart's contentment and feel good about your indulgence.
