Mike and Brittany had been together for four years, and he's a near constant in her daughter's life. Mike wanted to do something special to incorporate his step-daughter into their wedding, so "after the groom said his vows to the bride, he knelt down and gave his personal vows to her little girl too... I don't think there was a dry eye in the house."

Meet Mike Seldon.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Mike moved to California where he now lives with his new wife, Brittany, and step-daughter, Heidi.
Meet Brittany (Williams) Seldon.
A West Virginia native, Brittany became a mom in 2011 and met Mike in 2012.
This is Brittany's daughter, Heidi.
"Mike was very patient," dating a single mother. Brittany has said, "I would have to pause our movies and shows to change diapers or rock her back to sleep at 10 p.m. Or the lack of freedom I had to do 'normal' dating things or be spontaneous because I had a child. He was never allowed to spend the night at my house unless Heidi was at her dad’s. He never once seemed annoyed or inconvenienced by any of it."
They're a family now.
According to Brittany, it isn't always easy, but it is always awesome. "Though we have had our share of bumps in the road ― there’s no instruction manual for this stuff! ― it’s been a beautiful journey because we’ve all been patient, open and honest with each other. And most of all, just had fun."
Mike has been a part of their lives since Heidi was 14 months old.
"It’s pretty special finding someone that loves you unconditionally, but to come as a package deal with a little one and have a man make a commitment to love her unconditionally as well is an absolute blessing," Brittany told The Huffington Post.
In 2015, they got engaged and moved in together, and Mike excelled in the fatherly role.
"Mike was taking a more fatherly role by doing things like tucking her in and kissing her as he leaves for work," Brittany said.
On Mike and Brittany's wedding day, he read two sets of vows.
One for each of the special ladies in his life.
And he'll continue to be there for Heidi...
Mike vowed to her: "I vow to always be fair and honest with you. I promise to support you in every way I can. I promise to always hold your hand and brush your hair when you ask me to. I promise to tuck you into bed every night. I vow to show you how a man should treat a woman through my relationship with your mom. And above all else, I vow to protect you, care for you, and love you ‘so big’ forever."
