You've Probably Been Saying These Places Around The World Wrong

"Oh, okay. Thanks," I said, embarrassed. It was my first time in New Orleans, how was I to know how everything was actually pronounced? That wasn't a fun experience for me.

In order to maybe save you from a bit of this embarrassment, we've rounded up a few commonly mispronounced places from around the world for your viewing pleasure. Get ready to use those vocal cords.

Melbourne, Australia

The city used to be the capital of Australia for 26 years from 1901 to 1927.


Montreal, Canada

Surprisingly, Montreal is the second-largest French speaking country in the world after Paris.
