A Regular Couple Gets A Shock When A Whale Comes To Play

There are so many things in this world that are absolutely amazing. Sometimes, given how busy people often are, it's easy to forget the wonders that we're truly surrounded by, especially since we live in cities that seem to separate us from them. Nature is one of the many wonderful things in this world, though it's often overlooked. The beauty of the wilderness and all of the animals that wander around it is something to behold, which is probably why so many people enjoy going to zoos. While not entirely the same experience, it still gives a similar feeling to seeing an animal in the wild, being able to appreciate them up close and, most importantly, safely. For one particular group of people, the unbelievable occurred while they were out in open waters.

Meet Brad Nicholls and Emmy-Rose Curtis. Brad and Emmy-Rose live in the city of Gold Coast, Australia.

Gold Coast is known for its beautiful beaches and marine life.

Just like any other day, Brad and Emmy-Rose decided to go for a swim, but they never expected what was about to happen.

While taking a dip in the water, a couple of humpback whales decided to swim close to them and become friendly.

Emmy-Rose described the experience by saying, "Two large humpback whales swam around us for close to two hours; singing to us and gentle [sic] touching us with their pectoral fins and head."

While humpback whale sightings are a fairly common experience in the area, it is relatively unheard of for them to swim so closely and even touch people.

Their experience was a truly amazing one, with Emmy-Rose saying, "My heart was so full of love at that moment."
