Nachos are the best snack for all types: picky eaters go with just cheese (and hot, melty cheese on nachos is still amazing), and those with adventurous palates are only limited by their imaginations for what could top a plate of crispy chips. You can make nachos in the oven, but it takes a lot longer, is an energy waste if you're making a plate for one, and makes more dishes to clean up. So the alternative solution is to use the microwave, right? Well, that's all fine and dandy, except that microwaving can lead to soggy nachos. You know what I'm talking about. So Diply went out and found the secret to making sure you get perfectly crisp nachos every single time, and the best part is that it's crazy easy!
What you'll need:
- microwave
- nachos
- cheese
- toppings
The method:
Put your chips on a single layer on a plate. Microwave them for 30 seconds to a minute. When they start to smell nice and toasty, you know it's ready. Add your toppings. Microwave for 30 seconds, or until your cheese is melty and everything has the desired consistency. Enjoy your crispy, cheesy, delicious snack. I personally recommend serving this loaded with onion, bacon crumble, diced peppers, hot salsa and guac.
