The World Seems To Have A Problem With What Americans Use The Microwave For

SHARE
Anyone who has ever traveled anywhere outside of their hometown knows that a lot of things are done differently depending on where you are in the world. Something that may be normal and seem completely harmless in one place can be totally unacceptable or insulting in another. That is why it's important to familiarize yourself with local expectations and customs whenever you plan a trip or are going to be meeting new people from other countries.

And while some people may view these differences as annoyances, the truth is, they are what make the world so interesting! Personally, I find different traditions and practices to be fascinating, not a hassle, but I know there are some people out there who would disagree with me.

I wouldn't call it an American tradition, but I think it's safe to say that utilizing hacks and figuring out simpler, more effective ways of doing things has become common practice for many of us.

I don't know about you, but every single day, I come across numerous tips and tricks that can be used for different aspects of everyday life — ideas that are meant to solve common problems and make things easier.

For example, just the other day I learned the perfect ice cream sandwich can be made by cutting a pint into even slices!

Hacks like this seem fairly harmless, right? Well, it turns out, there are individuals out there who completely disagree...

That's right! Apparently, there are people out there who are none too pleased with some of the ways others have chosen to perform certain tasks.

In fact, there is one hack in particular that they cannot believe we actually use!

I wonder what it could be?

Okay, so you know how sometimes when you really need boiled water but you either don't own a kettle or you don't have the time and/ or patience to wait for one to boil?

What do you do? Put the water in the microwave, right?

Well, according to some flabbergasted individuals, that is not only absurd, but quite disgusting!

Who knew?

Personally, I use a kettle to boil water for certain things, like tea, but if that isn't an option for whatever reason, I'll nuke the water. And I didn't realize how much of a no-no that was until now!

Do you ever use your microwave to boil water? Let us know what you think about this debacle in the comments and then share this interesting bit of information with everyone you know.
