Disney Will Have Its First Gay Character In 'Beauty And The Beast'

Beauty in the Beast is coming out soon, and I literally cannot wait until it comes out! So far, the trailer looks so sick, and so do the songs. There's so much hype around this movie, and I'm super excited. I'm especially stoked after hearing that there will be a gay character in this film! That is so cool, and it's a first. Keep reading to learn more about which character will be gay in this upcoming movie!

I think everybody is a little bit excited about the live-action version of Beauty and The Beast.

I'm especially excited about Disney having its first gay character in the movie! 

Well, that gay character is going to be LeFou!

Remember him? 

He was Gaston's bestie. 

In an interview with Attitude Magazine, the director of the movie, Bill Condon, revealed, "LeFou is somebody who on one day wants to be Gaston and on another day wants to kiss Gaston."

He also went on to say that Josh Gad, the actor who plays LeFou, did a great job playing his part. 

Bill Condon said, “He’s confused about what he wants. It’s somebody who’s just realizing that he has these feelings. And Josh makes something really subtle and delicious out of it. And that’s what has its payoff at the end, which I don’t want to give away. But it is a nice, exclusively gay moment in a Disney movie.”

And I can't wait to see it!
