Baby Couldn't Get To Sleep, But Dad's Piano Lullaby Takes Care Of Business

Sleep can be one of the most difficult aspects of becoming a new parent. While we all know that sleep is basically non-existent for Mom and Dad during this stage, getting your baby to sleep becomes your number one life goal above and beyond anything else. Luckily, there are a number of ways to get that baby to sleep when it seems that they aren't doing it on their own. If you've never been a parent, you'll find out that babies thrive on rhythm or repetitive movement. One great way to get the little one to doze off is to take them for a car ride around the neighborhood. This classic strategy almost always works. Those rhythmic bumps that you feel in a car ride are basically baby Nyquil.

For one superhero dad, the piano is his tool of choice when it comes to getting his baby into a deep sleep. The video above shows the process that he goes through when his baby can't quite settle himself. What better way to hit your baby with some rhythm than playing a beautifully melodic lullaby on the piano? Not only does this video show how genius this dad really is, it happens to be the cutest darn thing I've seen in a while.

Another pro parenting hack is his combined use of piano and the incredibly popular Baby Bjorn. By combining the swaddling effect of the Bjorn with the piano lullaby, this dad is demonstrating pro-level parenting.

At first, it seems like the bright lights from the keyboard are going to wake the little guy up. Usually, too much bright light from a phone or a TV screen can wake a baby up to the point where they won't get to sleep for hours. Not when it comes to this dad, though. If I counted correctly, the baby boy lets out a yawn within only five seconds of the lullaby starting. Dad's reaction to this first yawn is absolutely priceless. Only a handful of seconds later, this little guy's head starts to droop lower, and lower, and lower, until BAM — lights out.

In case you didn't notice, this dad does one more thing that clearly indicates that he's been through this process before. Every parent knows that you don't stop a lullaby right after the baby appears as if they have dozed off. When they look like they're asleep, the brain will still jolt that baby awake if the song suddenly stops. But this dad knows that. He plays out the full lullaby before having confidence that his son is asleep.

Don't just take my word for it, check out the video for yourself, Diply friends. You're going to need to try this at home, you parents. Unfortunately, you can't fake being great at the piano like this guy is. Most of us will just have to keep on singing those lullabies.

SHARE this amazing video with your friends on Facebook who are parents and know how much of a struggle it can be to get that baby to sleep.
