A huge wave of videos has surfaced online of people crushing different objects with a hydraulic press. They are mesmerizing, to say the least. 


The latest of these videos to trend online is one showing a $40,000 gold bar get completely crushed. You have to see this for yourself!

The guys at Crushit on YouTube have made a living making videos of their enormous hydraulic press crushing random objects.

This time, they wanted to crush the most expensive thing yet: a beautiful gold bar. 

Here is the beauty.

As you can clearly see, that is 1000 grams of 24-karat gold, which amounts to roughly $40,000 in value. 

Wait, though, why would you do this?

It's going to be crushed because sometimes you just have to be a little crazy. 

As you can see here, when the press begins to make contact with the gold bar, it immediately starts to crumble. Large hydraulic presses, like the one being used in this video, can exert as much as 100 tons of pressure. That gold has no chance.
