16 Families Who Hilariously Recreated Their Child's Family Portrait Drawing

For the 2017 "Greatest International Scavenger Hunt the World Has Ever Seen," aka G.I.S.H.W.H.E.S., one of the challenges asked families to find a 6-year-old (their own, if they had one) and have the child draw a family portrait.

Then the family was tasked with recreating that portrait in real life.

1. Some were easier than others, though all of them were pretty weird.

This family seems pretty darn cool. There are lightsabers and capes, and for some reason a pony balancing on a child's head.

2. Others were more...impressionistic.

This is actually pretty great, especially the orange string details. And I would like one of those onesies. They look super comfy!

3. Why do so many children draw people with super-long arms?

That didn't stop this family, even though they had super long arms, different-length arms, and no arms all in the same portrait!

4. This family has the opposite problem.

Short arms for everyone! The frogs being thrown in the air is a nice touch, as well as the plush cats in the grass.

5. This family figured out a genius way to deal with the problem of proportion: t-shirts!

The addition of face makeup and the white background really add to the effect, too.

6. This family also had to get creative.

There was no way they were going to squash their bodies up into those shapes anyway. They even made sure to match the colors.

7. This is just adorable.

They even got the kitty involved! To be honest, I'm not sure the cat is thrilled with the idea, but the results are cute all the same.

8. And this one kind of skips over cute and into creepy.

I mean, mad props for a great recreation, but Dad kind of terrifies me with that toothy smile.

9. Another kind of creepy one.

It turns out that drawing smiles on people's faces is super unsettling. I feel like the dad's some sort of ancient god and the others are his undead doll army. Shudder.

10. How do you make rain indoors? Balloons!

Love this one, even if the kid looks like he's rethinking his life choices. Or it could be Take 10 and he's just over it.

11. Here's another family that got creative with the stick figure theme.

I love how into it they all are. Totally selling it! Add this to the list of things duct tape is perfect for!

12. This dad has some serious legs happening here.

But they managed to do it with some clever paper work and changing the angle.

13. And we're back to off-putting and creepy.

It's official: people aren't allowed to try to recreate stick figures on their own faces because it is terrifying.

14. Here's some pink to cleanse your brain of that image.

Everyone even dyed their hair! Now that's dedication! This one's just happy-making, both from the colors and because of the cute heart and flower.

15. Sometimes you just need to find the essence of the piece.

Had they decided to take it literally, this could easily have been another creepy one. Instead, it's super cute!

16. I just plain love this!

Imagine how much work it took to get all five people to finish their light art at just the right time for the exposure to work.
