The Kid From 'Big Daddy' And Friends' Looks Completely Different Now

SHARE
Most child actors have a hard time growing up. When you're type-cast as the cute little kid on a family sitcom, it can be hard to transition into a mature, adult actor. Too many times have we seen former-child stars go down booze and drug-fueled paths, leaving fans wondering what ever happened to them. But hey, just because some make poor decisions doesn't mean ALL of them do.

Remember the cute little boy from Big Daddy andFriends? Well as it turns out, that little boy was in fact TWO little boys. Twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse won over ANYBODY who ever got to see them act. But they've been doing a lot of growing up lately, and you may not even recognize them anymore!

SHAREif you remember the twins when they were on Big Daddy and Friends.

1. Dylan and Cole get their start at just eight months old.

Following a suggestion from their grandmother, Dylan and Cole's parents got them into the acting game when they were very young. In fact, at just eight months old, the two shared the role of Patrick Kelly on ABC's Grace Under Fire. They continued their role on the show until they were six-years-old.

2. The twins land their first big movie role.

Every actor has that BIG moment that leads them to bigger and better things. For Dylan and Cole that was landing the role of Julian in Adam Sandler's comedy Big Daddy. Many didn't realize that the role was played by twin brothers, so many were left wondering who the adorable little boy was.

3. The twins start making names for themselves.

After the success of Big Daddy, Dylan and Cole found themselves landing more and more acting roles. The two could be spotted in several Hollywood films in the early 2000s and even made appearances on hit television shows like That 70s Show.

4. Cole gets his own roles.

After appearing on That 70s Show and in several minor films together, the twins were split up when Cole was cast as Ross Geller's son Ben on Friends.

5. The boys release several straight-to-DVD films.

Remember I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause? What about Just 4 Kicks? It's okay, I don't think many people do.

6. The twins land their own Disney Channel show.

The Suite Life Of Zack And Cody starred the boys as twin brothers living in a hotel and was an instant ratings success. Kids loved the show, and audiences finally got to see Cole and Dylan do what they do best.

7. The boys start to experiment in the industry.

With the success of Suite Life, the boys decided to try their hand at other aspects of the industry. In 2005 they formed the Sprouse Bros brand – a brand aimed at including "cool kids" and "nerds" as one large demographic. The brand created and released clothing, comics and magazines.

8. By 2006 the boys emerge as Disney Channel all stars.

Their show was such a hit that Disney decided to start incorporating their characters into other programs. Zack and Cody began appearing in shows like That's So Raven and lending their voices to animated programs like The Emperor's New School.

9. Zack and Cody move to a different suite.

With the end of Suite Life, Disney saw potential for the boys to continue playing Zack and Cody in a new spin-off series. In 2008 the now older twins starred in The Suite Life On Deck, a show focusing on Zack and Cody's new home – a cruise ship.

10. The Suite Life comes to an end.

After three years of portraying the cruise ship tenants, Dylan and Cole ended their tenure as Zack and Cody. They had stints on other Disney Channel programs like So Random, but eventually decided that they had plans other than acting.

11. The boys get back to reality.

After Suite Life ended, both boys were accepted to NYU. Cole focused on humanities and archaeology while Dylan studied video game design. Both boys graduated in 2015.

12. TODAY

With their new diplomas in hand, it has been rumored that the boys have been itching to get back into acting. We can only hope!
