So there are things to love about Matthew McConaughey that have nothing to do with his acting.
Think about that. His craft has EVERYTHING to do with being seen by millions of people.And the whole purpose of this article will not talk about his acting at all. MIND. BLOWN.
1. Let's start with the fact that Martin Scorsese didn't come up with the chest bumping thing from Wolf Of Wall Street and instead, it came from a relaxing technique that Leo DiCaprio saw and wanted to put in the movie.
"That's something I'll do before scenes to relax myself, get my voice to drop. I've been doing it for a while, but it's just something I do."
2. He did that infamous Lincoln MKC car commercials where he was driving with a voice over giving nonsensical things about life including:
"That's a big bull."
3. He was so thrilled with the way Barbara Walters interviewed him that McConaughey gave her a foot rub...
4. Police were called to his house in Austin, Texas because he was playing the bongos naked.
They tried to arrest him, Matthew resisted, but was he later went along with it.
5. He likes the smell of his own personal juices.
The actor readily admits that he doesn't wear deodorant or cologne very often.
6. The reason you can't exactly place his accent is because after living in Australia for a while he started to pick up the accent.
But when he moved back, he started blending it with the Southern accent again.
7. While at his acceptance speech at the Oscars he said that his dad was "up there right now with a big pot of gumbo. He’s got a lemon meringue pie over there. He’s probably in his underwear, and he’s got a cold can of Miller Lite and he’s dancing right now."
8. And finally, the Texas native volunteered to drive the cart which ushers students as part of The University Of Texas' SURE Walk program which makes sure students make it home safely late at night.
