We run into ruts. We find frustrations. We. Get. Annoyed.
We lose hope.
And when we do, everything — and everyone — around us seems awful. We focus in on the negatives and ignore the goodness, kindness, and beauty all around us.
It's times like these we need a solid reminder that it's not so bad after all.
It's time like these we need someone to help us restore our faith.
Well, that's my job, so... here are 15 photos that prove good people still exist (in case you haven't run into one in a while).
1. This person went around leaving lovely reminders to everyone out there that they are cared for.
This is what goodness in words looks like.
2. This First Sergeant saw this woman trying to fuel up while holding her baby at the same time.
He stopped his travels to lend a helping hand.
3. This man wanted to help out the homeless people in his local community, so he bought a van, raised some funds, and...
...turned it into a mobile shower. This way, everyone can have a fresh start to their day.
4. This community member put out some fresh water for all the neighborhood pups.
True human kindness extends to all species.
5. This man cuts the hair of the homeless people in his community for free.
His caption: "The purpose of life is to live a life of purpose!!!!" I couldn't agree more.
6. This person places flowers in a public space for anyone needing a little boost.
That's good looking out.
7. These firefighters finish the yard work for a man who collapsed while mowing his lawn.
True story.
8. This is just all kinds of goodness wrapped in one sign.
The world needs more of this.
9. This little girl really wanted to learn how to ride a skateboard, but she was nervous about the park being filled with teenage boys. Mom expected the worst...
...but when this teen boy hollered over, it was to offer some pro tips. This girl and her mother left feeling empowered.
10. This farmer sells the fruits (and veggies) of their labor on the honor system.
Yes, the honor system still exists.
11. This police officer was seen buying bikes for children at Walmart.
The person who saw this random act of kindness was so touched, they posted this to Love What Matters: "I was at Walmart with my mom and we saw a cop go in and buy each of these kids a bike, thank you to this officer for what he did."
12. These people stopped to help out someone whose truck broke down.
Yes, this kind of coming together still happens.
13. This man ever so patiently protects his wife's bags while she shops on.
Love is oh so good, isn't it?
14. This man's wife writes:
"This is a picture of a hard working man dedicated to his family!! After working all night third shift, he's right here with his son who is in the hospital. He's so tired but he's here!! Father of the year award goes to Andre Palmer!!! I love you more than words baby😘😘😘 — feeling blessed at York Hospital Pediatrics."
15. This seven-year-old with dwarfism exchanges flowers for smiles.
The world needs more of both.
