Donate Your Used Mascara Wands To Animal Shelters To Help Fur Babies In Need

Cleaning out your makeup is quite refreshing! Especially when you have so much. It feels so good to go through my makeup collection and just chuck my old makeup into the garbage bin! Spring cleaning at its finest. But if you're about to throw out your mascara, you should hold off on that. Keep reading to learn why!

Did you know that mascara expires after three months?

Isn't that crazy? That means it's time for me to throw out mine. 

This time, instead of throwing them out, I'm going to donate my mascara wands. 

Donating mascara wands? I know it sounds odd, but it's for a great cause! 

Many wildlife organizations use mascara brushes to help remove fly eggs and larva from the fur of animals. 

That is so interesting! 

What an awesome way to recycle! 

Anything for the animals. 

So if you want to donate, wash your mascara wands with soap and water and then mail them to Appalachian Wildlife Refuge, P.O. Box 1211, Skyland, NC 28776!
