We all know how a good long sleep can make a world of difference. Sometimes I wish I could stay in bed forever and live under my covers. Well, humans aren't the only ones who love a good long nap. Bears of course are the best at sleeping, curling up for roughly eight months. You know how it feels when you lose sleep, but what if you hadn't been able to get a good night's rest in 30 years? This bear could tell you what that's like and the damage it does to one's body.

Fifi was just a cub when she was bought by the Pennsylvania roadside zoo.

For the first 10 years of her life she was forced to do tricks for shows. When the zoo closed, she was left to live in a tiny and rusty cage for more than 20 years.

In July of 2015, she was rescued by PETA and The Wild Animal Sanctuary.

She was very thin and weak and had untreated arthritis. Fifi had been unable to hibernate in her small cage for over 20 years. They wondered if she would ever regain her strength.

But she started to shows signs of improvement.

After five months at the sanctuary, Fifi became strong and healthy again. This winter, she was finally able to hibernate in her new den. Thirty years is a long time to wait for freedom and sleep, but Fifi shows that sometimes all you need to be the person or bear you were meant to be is a nice long nap.
