Day in and day out, we learn something new. There's practically an unlimited amount of knowledge that we can obtain; only, of course, if we're able to live forever.
Even then, how many people would actually take the time to learn absolutely everything there is to learn? Probably not many.
That's why we condense things and like to absorb our information in concise, yet accurate ways. I mean, realistically, not everybody wants to sit down and try to read a massive science paper with all of the jargon included.

1. Annabelle was an old Raggedy Ann Doll who is said to have been haunted.

After the Battle of Waterloo in 1815, teeth were pulled from the fallen soldiers and sold to dentists who would then boil, cut them, and form dentures for patients.
