Nail Art Is Not Just For Girls

Guys, it's 2017. Although the world has certainly progressed, there's still a ton of social stigma surrounding gender issues. Nail polish has always been seen as a strictly feminine product and simply not for males. But why do we think this way? Little boys generally enjoy painting, drawing, and crafts, so why is it wrong if they should want to paint their nails? Massive props to the moms and dads in this article who let their children be creative. Keep reading to see six boys of all different ages who prove nail polish is definitely not just for girls! 

1. This four-year-old cutie saw his mom painting her nails and asked if he could do his own! Way to go.

2. Peekaboo! This little guy decided to paint his nails green to match his shirt. 

3. This J Crew ad sparked a ton of controversy when it was first released. It featured the company's president/creative director and her five-year-old son, whose favorite color happens to be pink. He's happy, so what's the big deal?

4. Twelve-year-old Luc Brayshaw has been painting his nails since he was four. He usually matches his polish colors to that of his favorite sports teams!

5. Six-year-old Flynn loves painting his nails, and his mom is proud he's not being pigeonholed by gender norms. 

6. Johnny Depp is often seen with painted nails. Because Johnny does WHATEVER he wants, and we love that about him.
