Comfrey Root Extract Can Significantly Reduce Your Back Pain

SHARE
Back pain plagues millions of Americans every day. This condition is debilitating and is a commonly-cited reason for missing work. Not only does back pain affect work, it can reduce your all-around mobility, leaving people unable to devote the kind of attention they want to their families.

The treatment options for back pain aren't so good, otherwise, you wouldn't keep hearing that chronic back pain is a problem. The painkillers heavy enough to significantly reduce pain are extremely addictive, and can't be sustained for long periods without a high risk of dependency.

New research is beginning to uncover one potent herb that may actually be able to reduce back pain.

The spine is an unbelievably important part of your body. It's responsible for supporting your upper body weight and manipulating the posture of your body.

The spine bends and twists all day, eventually putting a massive amount of pressure on the lower spine (lumbar).

Not surprisingly, this can result in excruciating pain over time. Over 80% of people have experienced lower back pain during their lives, and roughly 11% of people experience chronic, debilitating back pain. It's about time for someone to figure out how to reduce that pain, right?

New research has shown that one herb has a strong effect on back pain.

Comfrey is a fairly common herb that many people plant in their backyards.

Research published in the British Journal of Sports Medicine shows that comfrey root extract, in the form of an ointment, significantly reduced acute back pain in a large sample of patients.

You won't believe how quickly the pain went away...

Researchers from Rheinbach, Germany found that back pain was relieved after only five days!

To be fair, the placebo group who received a non-medicinal ointment without comfrey root extract also showed a 38% reduction in pain over the course of the study.

This is quite odd, but not unheard of. There is a known "placebo effect" after all. Remarkably, though, the group of patients with the comfrey root extract ointment had a 95% reduction in perceived back pain. This giant difference gave researchers confidence that the effect was real.

There was one more remarkable finding: Patients showed a noticeable drop in pain within an hour.

While the full-scale study results were based on multiple visits over five days, overall patient pain was significantly reduced within an hour. This is great news for sufferers of back pain.

Combined with some light yoga, comfrey root extract may be the natural solution you need for intense back pain.

The end to your pain is near, my friends!
