Father-Daughter Wedding Dance Goes Viral After Hilarious Performance

Father-Daughter Wedding Dance Goes Viral After Hilarious Performance

On October 8th, 2016, Mikayla Ellison married her long-time boyfriend Cody Phillips. Her father, Nathan, gave her away that day, but he did get to share one more very special moment with his little girl.

The video of that epic moment has gone viral, because it's amazing, check it out on the last page and then SHARE this story with friends — especially ones who have weddings coming up!

This took some serious guts (and planning).

Meet Nathan Ellison.

Nathan is a happily married father of four and a business relations manager at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Utah.

This may sound a little bit dull, but Nathan's got an exciting side that he really showed at his daughter's wedding!

His daughter, Mikayla, has been following in his footsteps (in more ways than one)!

She graduated recently from Brigham Young University — his alma mater. She's his biggest fan. "He is literally the hardest working man I know and would do anything in his power to serve his family. He has taught me how to have a sense of humor and how to enjoy life to its fullest," Mikayla has said.

But there was something Nathan had always wanted to do — and Mikayla was going to make that happen for him.

She said they had "talked about doing it for years. It was his dream...Since I'm the oldest, and the only girl, this was his only chance so I agreed to it."

When Mikayla and Cody got engaged, it was finally time.

On top of planning for her wedding, Mikayla also had to start using her professional training to coordinate what was going to be her father's shining moment.

The couple met at Brigham Young as dance partners.

"I’ve danced my whole life but my dad hasn’t," Mikayla said, so Nathan was going to have to put in some work to fulfill his dream — his long-awaited dream of dancing with his daughter at her wedding.

On October 8th, 2016, they tied the knot.

In a dream wedding in front of 400 guests near Provo, Utah. Since then, a video of the wedding has gone viral online, but it's not of the bride and groom.

The viral video is of Nathan and Mikayla's father-daughter dance.

Wedding photographer Bethany Petersen posted the video to YouTube, where it has received over 2.3 million views.

She also posted a piece of advice from Nathan: "NEVER PASS UP A CHANCE TO DANCE WITH YOUR DAUGHTER!"

Cody remixed the music for his bride and father-in-law.

The father-daughter duo started out slow but quickly busted into their choreographed routine.

There were 10 different songs in the elaborate mashup like LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem," "The Carlton," and more before finishing on *NSYNC's "Bye Bye Bye," — the guests loved it, and so did Nathan.

It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

And well worth the week's worth of effort they had to put in before the wedding.

"I mainly wanted to do something easy and fun with him to share the special moment," Mikayla said. "Everyone was completely shocked but they loved it!"

It was the highlight of the reception.

Mikayla said the guests "freaked out" but, while the dance was awesome, it didn't take away from the focus of the day.

"The actual best part of that day was marrying my best friend."

Check out Mikayla and Nathan's amazing father-daughter dance.

There's a good reason it has got everybody talking about it!

Cystic Fibrosis Patients In Canada Live 10 Years Longer Than Those In America, Study Shows

Americans and Canadians often like to poke fun at their differences because they tend to be small – watching football versus watching hockey, Dunkin' Donuts versus Tim Hortons, ketchup versus maple syrup, and so on. It's the kind of thing good neighbors can do. That's why, when major differences arise, it's time to start asking questions.

In many, many ways, Americans and Canadians are indistinguishable. But if you have cystic fibrosis, you'd probably prefer to be north of the border right about now.

That's because patients with cystic fibrosis live a noticeably longer time in Canada, up to 10 years longer than those in the U.S., according to researchers at Toronto's St. Michael's Hospital.

The researchers noted three major factors in the difference: number of lung transplants, health insurance, and diet.

They added up to a huge gap. Studying data from the Canadian CF Registry and the U.S. Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Patient Registry from 2009–2013, they found that Canadians with CF lived to a median age of 50.9 years, compared to just 40.6 for Americans.

The Canadian patients were more likely to receive lung transplants due to different ways the two countries prioritize those on the transplant waiting list.

Canadian doctors have also promoted high fat diets, including cheese, fish, and nuts, for those with CF since the 1970s. The U.S. only started promoting a high fat diet for CF patients since the 1980s, so they're still catching up.

The biggest difference, however, was access to health insurance, with lower-income Americans and those who rely on Medicare and Medicaid at greater risk of dying.

Whereas for Canadians, who have universal healthcare, the bigger risk was living too far from a clinic or not being able to afford time off work. However, the researchers said more study would be needed to assess factors like air quality, medication usage, and pulmonary function.

11 Totally Brilliant Lifehacks

11 Totally Brilliant Lifehacks

Lifehacks feel like a recent development, but they've been around for a long, long time. Mothers have been keeping their families together with workarounds and improvisation for generations. Just think of the way, during WWII rationing, women used things like beetroots and boot polish for makeup when the real articles weren't available.

I'm not sure if today's lifehacks quite measure up to wartime workarounds, but some of them are definitely worth trying. You have to admire the creativity it takes to figure out how to do things better and save more time and money. Don't you wish you had thought of some of these?

1. Never lose your gas cap again – swap it with the gas nozzle so you'll have to pick it back up when you're done filling up.

2. Photocopy the back of whatever you have to hang so you can line up the holes correctly. Or, if you don't have access to a photocopier, trace the outline with a pen and poke holes in the paper while holding the item up to it.

3. Drilling into drywall? Keep clean-up easy with a folded sticky note below the hole.

4. Organize your notebooks with a word index at the back, marking the appropriate pages to line up.

Works great for recipes!

5. Before you travel, freeze a cup of water and then put a coin on top.

If the quarter is embedded in the ice when you get home, you'll know the power went out long enough for the ice to melt, and your food has likely spoiled.

6. Stop pop-ups from interrupting your games when you're playing on your phone by turning on Airplane Mode.

7. Keep your pot lids organized on your cabinet doors with a simple towel rack.

8. For a leaky travel cup, tighten the seal with a rubber band.

9. Stop your cling wrap rolls from pulling out by cutting a V-shaped notch in either end of the box and pushing it in.

10. To keep your tie under control without a fancy clip, cut a two-hole section out of another old button-down, loop it through the tie, and button it into place.

11. Easily find the perfect temperature for your shower every time by marking the sweet spot with a dab of white out or nail polish on the handle and the fixture.

Two Women Try To Smuggle $30 Million In Drugs and Instagram The Entire Thing

When a family or business obligation takes you to a far-flung place, it can really cut down on the stress of travel if you make a holiday out of it. Checking for some fun things to do in the area can ease the pace of the journey and give you something to look forward to when you get there.

And when the places you go turn out to be more beautiful than you imagined, you may feel inclined to share your discoveries with the world. After all, your many social media admirers will probably want to see the sights you see, right?

Most of the time, this is a fine idea, but sometimes the purpose of your visit means you need to keep a low profile. A CIA agent, for instance, may encounter a lot of exotic locales on their missions, but they're painting a target on themselves if they get too candid about their location.

Depending on how things unfold, the same could be true for two Canadian women whose Instagram photos of their cruise likely didn't help their case with law enforcement.

COMMENT and tell us about the high-risk TMIs you've come across.

Two months ago, 22-year-old Melina Roberce kicked off the vacation of a lifetime.

She hopped aboard the MS Sea Princess, a luxury cruise liner that started its voyage in the UK and sailed around the Americas before making its final stop in Australia.

Joining Roberce was 28-year-old Isabelle Lagace.

Note her necklace, which serves as a bit of foreshadowing for how their journey unfolded.

Based on their Instagram photos, they certainly seemed impressed with the ship.

This was a good thing because they would be spending a lot of time on it. The liner ended up taking them to Ireland, New York City, French Polynesia, Peru, Chile, Bermuda, and Ecuador before finally landing in Sydney, Australia.

Every leg of their journey came with a new blissful photo.

Between ATV rides in Peru, scenic vistas in Bermuda, and refreshing coconut cocktails in French Polynesia, they seemed to be having the time of their lives.

Little did they know, however, that the good times wouldn't last long.

Underneath all the seaside revelry, there was something more suspicious going on.

63-year-old Andre Tamine was also on the cruise and he allegedly had good reason to be a little more camera shy.

While they never went as far as to show anything illicit, their trip made law enforcement a little curious.

As the trio set sail, the Canadian Border Services Agency, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, and the Australian Border Force were starting to talk about them.

When our travelers pulled into the Sydney Harbor, there was a surprise waiting for them.

Border agents, the Australian Federal Police, and their trained sniffer dogs boarded the ship and searched the trio's bags.

In the cabin Lagace and Roberce shared, police allegedly found 35 kilograms of cocaine.

Tamine's cabin apparently held an additional 60 kilos, making this the largest drug bust by boat or plane that Australia has ever seen.

So what happens now?

All told, the seized cocaine is valued at approximately $30 million.

The three have been charged with importing a commercial quantity of cocaine and could face life sentences if convicted.

At the moment, there are still some unanswered questions in the case.

Investigators aren't sure if Lagace and Roberce were working with their co-defendant and it's also unclear whether they boarded with the cocaine in England or acquired it during one of their South American stops.

Whatever the details, it seems authorities were hot on their trail from the beginning.

Canadian Border Services had identified them as "high-risk passengers" and passed what they knew onto Australian officials.

Yet, authorities think they may know why the drugs were headed for Australia.

Cocaine prices are known to be particularly high there due to the difficulty of getting drugs into the isolated nation. Australian prices are apparently up to three times higher than in Canada.

Remember to COMMENT and tell us about other times people should have kept things on the down low.

13 Tips For Waking Up A Tired Face

13 Tips For Waking Up A Tired Face

Let's face it. We've allhad those times when we've tossed and turned all night or dinner with the girls went a little later than anticipated. The aftermath of restless, sleepless nights always shows on our faces. And when we've got places to go and people to see, a tired face is the last thing we want to deal with. Fortunately, there are tons of easy, extremely helpful beauty tips that will aid you in reviving even the sleepiest of faces. You likely already own most of the makeup products on this list, so all you need to know now are the unique ways to use them! I could've definitely used #10 this morning (ugh, Mondays), but now I'm well-equipped to tackle my next fatigued look. So if you're ready to look your best even if you're so not feeling it, keep reading for a list of 13 easy tips for waking up a tired face!

1. Pinch Of Color

The oldest trick in the book to wake up a tired face is by adding some color to your complexion! Cheek stains work wonders for this, and most can also be used on your lips as well! Don't have time for a blush fix? Use the old-school method of pinching your cheeks for an instant rosy look.

2. Eye Drops

Dry, bloodshot eyes are both telltale signs of a tired face. Invest in some good quality eye drops for those sleepy mornings when you need to brighten up your eyes.

3. Cool Your Cream

Dark, puffy eyes definitely don't help when we're struggling to look more awake. Keep an eye cream in your fridge and apply to under eyes in need of some waking up. The coolness will help to bring down swelling and decrease the appearance of dark circles.

4. Brighten Inner Eyes

This is such an easy makeup tip, and I so wish I had known about it earlier! The eyes are the focal point of the face, so when we're tired, they are the first things to show it. Simply add a little light, shimmery eyeshadow to the inner corners of your eyes to instantly appear more awake!

5. Curl Those Lashes

Befriend your eyelash curler! Curling your lashes is such a quick, easy step to make your eyes appear bigger and brighter.

6. Highlight

Never underestimate the power of highlight powder. Applying highlighter to your upper cheekbones, bridge of your nose, above your brows, and above your upper lip is an instant way to add some glow and life into a tired face.

7. Conceal Correctly

When we're trying to cover up dark under eye circles, we tend to opt for the lightest, brightest concealer. This is actually the opposite of what you shouldbe doing, as super light concealers can actually highlight dark circles even more. Instead, choose a concealer with peach or tan undertones, which will combat dark circles more effectively.

8. Experiment With Eyeshadow

A simple way to disguise a tired face is by shaking up your normal beauty routine. When you're looking more tired than usual, experiment with an eyeshadow that you don't usually wear. This new eye look will detract from any of your features that are showing signs of fatigue.

9. All About The Brows

Although your eyes are super important in reviving a tired face, so are your eyebrows! Even if you don't have time for makeup, simply grooming and sculpting your brows with a spooly will add some instant assistance to a tired face.

10. Refresh With Rosewater

A great way to refresh and revitalize a tired look is by splashing your face with a rosewater toner or cleaner. Rosewater is an excellent tool for adding some glow to a sleepy complexion. Don't have rosewater on hand? Cold water is your next best bet!

11. Moisturize

We often forget the importance of moisturizing, especially when it comes to our faces! Replenish lost moisture and add some glow to your complexion by starting your day with a good quality face moisturizer.

12. Mascara Madness

If you only have time for one makeup product, mascara goes such a long way. Coat on a few layers of black mascara for big, voluminous lashes that will open up tired eyes.

13. Rock A Bold Lip

The best way to combat a tired face is through distraction. Even if you leave the rest of your face bare, applying a bold lip color will instantly amp up a sleepy face. I love how this natural makeup look has been spiced up with a matte, berry lip.
