10 Eerie Abandoned Places And What They Looked Like Before

SHARE
I used to love watching ghost shows on TV when I lived at home with my parents. I probably still would if I had cable, but here we are. One of the things that I liked the best was when they would go into really old historic stories and give you a brief rundown on what the old ruins used to be. I would always find it so fascinating that something that was nearly all rubble now was at one point a hospital or thriving mansion.

That got me to thinking, how many abandoned places out there have we seen and not even wondered about what they were before?

These before and after photos of abandoned sights will help you see how much can change with time.

Sometimes in my spare time, I look to look at pictures of abandoned places on the internet.

Because why not? It also sometimes seems strange to me that those places were not abandoned at one point. It seems obvious, but it's hard to imagine them any other way. So it's always interesting to see what a building may have looked like when it was at its prime and remember it that way.
