They rock it in the career world while managing to take care of their growing children. It's a constant juggling act between deadlines, story time, boardrooms and breast-feeding.
Tara Ruby is one of those working moms who balances babies and a career with grace and confidence, and she's inspiring other woman along the way. Recently, she published the latest picture in her photography series celebrating working moms, and her photo is going viral.

Formerly a member of the military, Ruby knows the challenges of being a mom and a working woman firsthand.
“I was active duty a long time ago when support for breastfeeding moms wasn't even an option or a consideration,” Ruby wrote on Instagram, when she posted her first mother in uniform photo.
“Breastfeeding their babies doesn't make them less of a soldier, I believe it makes them a better one,” Ruby wrote.
People poured out their support for the photo and the impact it had on them, sharing that women shouldn’t be ashamed of breast-feeding their little ones.

Recently, Ruby posted a photo of a breast-feeding mom in a firefighter uniform, continuing her “Uniformed Breastfeeding Portrait Collection.”
“Mothers nowadays tend to work, so I want to help promote the idea that you can go back to work, you can work a full-time job and still breastfeed your baby. Capturing these portraits does just that,” Ruby said.
The photo has gone viral since its original post, with women expressing their appreciation for Ruby’s honesty and transparency.

“Tell me the first word that comes to mind when you see this...”
...Ruby asked woman alongside the picture on Facebook.
Responses quickly came in, with people sharing inspiring words such as: “Hero." “Brave." “Service.” “Strong.” “Powerful.” “Dedication.”
“I showed this to my 5 year old daughter. To show her that she can be a mommy AND a firefighter (that’s what she wants to be when she grows up). So I asked her what does she see. She says “a mommy taking care of her baby!” So plain and simple! Nothing sexual. Just taking care of a baby,” one mother commented on the Facebook post.
“This portrait was made to show the power of a working mother, for all mothers that might be in the firefighting career field," Ruby said. The photographer has continued to capture other expectant mothers in uniform, including a nurse, doctor and police officer.

"Any mother with a uniform is one I want to to work with".
Ruby explained that moms who balance career and babies are becoming the new norm.
