Two buddies with too much time and too many spare parts on their hands decided to make a go-kart, and boy does it look like fun.
Their car battery-powered Frankenstein of a go-kart uses a remote engine starter for the throttle – and when you take your thumb off it, that's the brake. That counts as a brake, right?
Jumper cables hook the battery to a starter motor taken from an '80s Mercedes, which is held down by good ol' ratchet straps.
The frame apparently cost $25, and the gear cost $3. Everything else happened to be on-hand, making this sweet ride a mere $28.
But does it work? Well, it's not going to break any speed records, and it doesn't have any brakes, but it can move.
Check it out in action in their hilarious video below!
