These Pop Culture Favorites Aren't Your Grandma's Russian Nesting Dolls

SHARE
As a child, I was fascinated by matryoshka dolls (more commonly known as Russian Nesting Dolls). If there was a set anywhere near my little hands, inevitably they would be taken apart and put back together over and over. The adults would get bored with watching me much sooner than I would grow tired of the game.

While I love the intricate art of the classic dolls, if I could have gotten my hands on a set of dolls painted with my favorite cartoon characters, I would have been thrilled! If I were to have a set now, I would definitely want the cast of The Princess Bride (starting with Fezzik as the biggest, of course) or a set of the Guardians from Sailor Moon.

Tell us in the COMMENTSwhich of your current or childhood favorites would make a great set of nesting dolls!

1. Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang

These would make a great Christmas present for your loved one who watches the Christmas special religiously.

2. The cast of The Little Mermaid

My only quibble is that I would have made Eric the second doll and Flounder the middle one.

3. Disney Princesses

For someone that loves every Disney movie.

4. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles!

The littlest one should be Master Shredder. Or a pizza.

5. If you like creepy, just embrace it!

(Shudder)

6. I'd never let go of these Frozen dolls

What, no Sven or Olaf?

7. Minions!

The great thing about Minions is that you could have the movie-specific characters, or just make up your own silly yellow guy.

8. Star Wars

I want them all, but especially the little Yoda.
