Strawberries are a romantic food item. But you can step up the romance with a few quick flicks of the knife. Seriously, this is one of those things that takes very little effort but looks like a lot of work. In just moments you can turn your strawberries into roses. Drizzle them in a little chocolate sauce and get ready to impress the pants off (hopefully, literally) your next date. This Diply-approved edible DIY is going to have your head spinning with just how simple it is.

What you'll need:

- strawberries
- sharp paring knife

The method:

Take your strawberry and knife in hand. Carefully, halfway down the strawberry, make a cut down the strawberry's side without going all the way through. Move your knife a little to spread out the slice. Turn the strawberry and repeat the action all the way around the strawberry. Once you've gone all the way around, move up the strawberry and make the same kind of cut on the next level up between your previous slices. Continue until you run out of strawberry. Carefully open the petals. AAAAAAAAAAND you're done. Drizzle with chocolate sauce. And caramel sauce. And peanut butter sauce. And ALL OF THE SAUCES. Or just eat as is. No matter what you do, these are going to look impressive.
