15 Actors Who Took It Too Far And Ended Up Injuring Their Co-Stars

I give mad props to actors. I could never go into a room in front of a bunch of people and pretend a tennis ball on a stick is a terrifying alien monster. So it makes sense when some actors get really into their roles and go straight up method. The pros on this list did just that – and took some co-stars down with them.

1. Margot Robbie and Alexander Skarsgård – Tarzan

During their sex scene, the director was shouting at Robbie to hit Skarsgård as hard as she could. But – to be fair – judging by his body, he may not have felt it.

2. Dave Bautista and Daniel Craig – Spectre

Bautista was throwing Craig around while filming a fight scene and Craig tore his knee. He had to take 2 weeks off!

3. Idris Elba and Chris Pine – Star Trek Beyond

During a fight scene, Elba gave Pine a black eye that you can see in the movie. Earning paychecks one bruise at a time.

4. LL Cool J and Jamie Foxx – Any Given Sunday

These guys got into an actual fight! LL Cool J punched Foxx in the face and the police had to be called in. At least you know the emotion was real in that scene.

5. Sean William Scott and Dwayne Johnson – The Rundown

Johnson was supposed to cut Scott loose from some ropes with a knife. Instead, according to Scott, Johnson cut up Scott's arm, said "I sliced 'em," and walked away.

6. Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth – Snow White and the Huntsman

For a fight scene, Stewart took it too far and punched Hemsworth in the nose. There was tons of blood but he lucked out and it wasn't broken!

7. Linda Hamilton and Arnold Schwarzenegger – Terminator 2: Judgement Day

Arny let loose some gunfire in an elevator before Hamilton was able to put her ear plugs back in. She now has permanent hearing loss!

8. Miles Teller and J.K. Simmons – Whiplash

Simmons suffered 2 broken ribs when Teller tackled him to the ground, which would have been probably very satisfying for his character. But as an actor – horrifying.

9. Christopher Guest and Cary Elwes - The Princess Bride

When Guest hits Elwes on the head with the bottom of his sword, Elwes really passed out. He came to later – in a hospital.

10. Robert Downey Jr. and Halle Berry – Gothika

Downey accidentally twisted Berry's arm and heard a pop. Turns out he broke it. Oops.

11. Josh Hutcherson and Jennifer Lawrence - The Hunger Games

In between takes, Lawrence pretended to kick Hutcherson in the temple. Except she made contact and sent him to the ground.

12. Dolph Lundgren and Sylvester Stallone – Rocky IV

Sly asked Dolph to actually try to knock him out in the ring. Next thing he knows he's in intensive care for five days. I mean, look at that monster – how else did he expect this to turn out??

13. Nicole Kidman and Ewan McGregor – Moulin Rouge

McGregor accidentally dropped Kidman during a dance rehearsal, breaking two of her ribs. They cracked again when she tried to stuff them into a corset.

14. Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci – Raging Bull

When De Niro threw Pesci through the glass door, Pesci landed on it, breaking two ribs. He broke them again in Casino, coincidentally a movie also starring De Niro.

15. Nicole Kidman and John Cusack – The Paperboy

Another sex scene gone wrong. Cusack got a little too rough that even the director had to step in. Kidman came in the next day covered in bruises.
