Driver Sacrifices His Tesla To Save Another Driver Having A Medical Emergency

We don't always know how we'll react in a crisis until we're dropped into one. Obviously we'd like to think that we'll do the right thing and step up, but until the situation actually arises, there's no way of knowing for sure. Well, one driver in Germany found out something about himself during a crisis on a busy highway – now he knows that he'll step up, for sure.

A Tesla driver in Germany is being hailed as a hero after saving another driver's life on the busy Autobahn recently.

The Tesla driver noticed a Volkswagen ahead of him swerving wildly and slamming into the guardrail. When he saw that the driver was unconscious, he decided to take action.

At great risk to not only his $70,000 Tesla Model S but his own safety, he pulled in front of the Volkswagen and carefully pressed the brakes.

As the Volkswagen came into contact with the Tesla, the driver slowed both cars down until they finally came to rest on the side of the Autobahn.

The Tesla driver called the fire department, who came to assist the Volkswagen driver.

Emergency crews believe he had suffered a stroke behind the wheel. In the process, the cars suffered an estimated $10,000 in damage – but everyone survived a terrifying situation.

In the aftermath, Elon Musk himself praised the Tesla driver's actions and offered to pick up the repairs.

And nobody can argue that the guy is a hero!
