The plight of the nice guy. I get it, as a former nice young person I've had my bumps in the road with my relationships with girls in the past. It's the same story for all nice dudes; getting friendzoned by an attractive female who always complains to you about all the bad boys who've treated her poorly, with you listening attentively while thinking this girl is stupid to not notice the good guy in front of her eyes.
With age, I've come to realize it's not because you 'respect women' too much, it's mostly a confidence issue in combination with the fact that woman need more in a guy than 'just being nice.' Here are some examples of why certain nice guys do indeed finish last, and it's entirely their fault.
1. The subtly sneaky nice guy.
He's not just single, he's hashtag-single. Way to broadcast to the net how insecure you are my man.
2. This dude has finally given up.
To play devil's advocate, it may be the pool of women this guy is interested in. Not saying the guy has high standards, but the dude probably has high standards.
3. Wow, way to be creepy friend.
So you spent hours crafting a steel rose for a random woman who doesn't know anything about you, and you think it's her fault for not noticing how nice you are? Can't notice how nice you are if all she sees is creepiness from top to bottom.
4. He's clearly been burned before.
But kudos to him for throwing the ball into the women's court. To be honest that's what a lot of women want.
5. "I respect women too much."
You're no special cookie friend, I'd say most guys would say they respect women. Now, those first two reasons, that's where the cookie crumbles.
6. It's not always your fault.
People are people, you'll find great ones and you encounter pretty crappy ones as well. You just can't win with some people, just don't generalize them with the entire pack.
7. This is pretty darn accurate.
You may know him ladies, he's one of your best friends! Heads up, he's secretly in love with you.
8. How quickly the tables turn.
He's all polite and charming until you turn him down. Now he's all spiteful and calling you every name in the book. Real classy, nice guy.
