12 Weird And Random Things We All Totally Missed In 'Friends'

SHARE
Honestly, I don't even remember what life was like before Netflix. Now my life is filled with daily marathons of Friends courtesy of the streaming service. It feels like the show never ended and that adventures with the gang will continue on forever. The other great thing about marathoning the show is that you begin to see things that you never noticed before. You actually get to pick out the continuity errors and huge mistakes that the show makes! Don't believe me? Even though you've probably watched the show a million times, here are some things in the background of Friends that you never noticed.

1. The apartment number on Monica's door changed from 5 to 20 over the course of the show.

Did they do it after they realized that the view from the window was too high for apartment number 5?

2. Phoebe suddenly goes from talking to Monica to talking to a complete stranger.

Phoebe, I hate to break it to you, but that's not Monica...

3. Does Joey have superpowers? How did he manage to switch shirts all of a sudden?

4. Have you ever wondered how the characters always manage to sit at the couch no matter what? It's like that spot was reserved for them or something. Yup, that's a reserved sign right there on the table.

OOOOOOOOOOOOOH, I BET YOU NEVER NOTICED THIS ONE!

5. Take a closer look at the balloons hanging from the bunting. Those aren't regular balloons. It looks like Joey and Chandler decided to blow up condoms for Ross's bachelor party.

Betcha never noticed that one!

6. I did not know that one whole potato was on the menu at Central Perk!

7. Read the wedding announcement on the left. It says that the witnesses for the wedding included a homeless man named Elvis!

That wedding sounds amazing.

8. Seriously, what's up with Monica's apartment? In earlier seasons, there's clearly a pillar there. But then it suddenly disappears.

9. June Gable played Estelle and a nurse on the show.

10. This has happened more than once. Giovanni Ribisi played Phoebe's brother and a random person in the street.

11. Monica's apartment is ever-changing! If you notice, the view from the kitchen window never stays the same. Sometimes, it's a brick wall and sometimes it's just an open view.

What kind of sorcery is this?

12. Well, I guess their apartment isn't really in New York. It's all a lie. Their apartment is clearly in a studio because you can see the stage lights.
