17 Red Carpet Hacks That You Can Use In Real Life

SHARE
Awards season is here! It's my favorite time of the year because we get to see celebs walk the red carpet wearing the most beautiful gowns and sporting the latest makeup and hair trends. When the stars arrive at the event, we're so blown away by their amazing outfits that it's easy to forget that it takes a lot of work. For big events like the Oscars, celebs are using Snapchat to show that they're getting ready for an evening event early in the morning! Here are some of the red carpet hacks that they use to look flawless. And the best part? You can use these hacks in real life too!

1. Do you ever review a photo and realize that you look amazing except that your pesky flyaways are ruining the shot? There's an easy solution to that. Just spray toothbrush bristles with hairspray and tame those flyaways.

2. Do you suffer from looking shiny in pictures? Try using a makeup setting spray after you've finished everything. It'll make your skin look matte and keep your makeup from slipping off.

3. Isn't it the worst when you've finished your eye look and then you run out of liquid eyeliner? Don't worry, there's a hack for that! Ditch the liner and use a wet eyeshadow at the lashline instead.

The great thing about using eyeshadow as eyeliner is that you can have so many more colors to choose from other than the boring black and brown.

4. The most popular pose on the red carpet is the "hand on the hip." The key is to make sure that your shoulders are relaxed!

5. Sometimes, celebs wear the most gorgeous gowns with plunging necklines. In that case, it's pretty hard to wear a bra. So what's the trick? Celebs use gaffer tape to replace a push-up bra!

It was Kim Kardashian who revealed to her fans her best-kept secret.

6. Chafing is the worst, right? I think we can all agree on that. Amy Schumer has the best hack for that. On Instagram, she posted a video of her using deodorant on her thighs.

This would be the perfect hack for the warmer months when you're wearing shorts.

7. You don't want to look shiny, but you do want to look glowing! Jennifer Lopez uses a moisturizing balm, but you can even use a bit of Vaseline on the high points of your face.

8. It looks like Lupita Nyong'o never has to deal with dry skin problems on the red carpet. And that's because she swears by avocado oil all over her body, skin and hair.

9. It's easy to forget that celebs are just like us. Yes, they get pimples! To get rid of zits, many celebs use apple cider vinegar.

10. If you want to look red carpet ready for an event, use spray tan but make sure to not go overboard with it.

11. If going for a full-on spray tan isn't your thing, try out gradual self tanners.

12. How do celebs handle the pain of wearing high heels all the time? Those insoles you can buy at the store really do help with the pain.

13. Another hack for surviving high heel pain is using tape to make sure your third and fourth toes stick together.

14. Worried about wrinkles? According to a stylist, it's all about how you sit in the car on the way to an event! Lean back as much as you can to avoid the dreaded hip wrinkle.

15. Heels are already hard enough to walk in, but sometimes you have to worry about not slipping on the floors. You can use sandpaper on the bottom of your heels to fix this problem.

16. If you're headed off to a black-tie affair, packa Minimergency Kit. It has everything you'll need in a fashion emergency. The kit is small and includes double-sided tape, two earring backs, stain remover and more.

17. And the easiest hack of all? Celebs know what works for them and what makes them confident. Wear what you want and what makes you feel amazing!
