Trainer Gains 70 Pounds To Help Client Shed Her Weight And They Look Amazing

Could you imagine working out almost every day and eating healthy to lose 100 pounds, then purposely putting that weight back on again?

It's a crazy concept, right? All of the hard work and progress that you initially put into leading an active and healthy lifestyle would just be flushed down the toilet. It doesn't make a lot of sense from a logical perspective.

But that's exactly what one personal trainer did to help his client lose weight. His story of struggle, triumph, more struggle, and then triumph once again proves that you can do anything that you set your mind to.

Adonis Hill is a personal trainer from New York City.

The guy is clearly super jacked and leads a healthy lifestyle. However, Adonis wasn't always as cut and fit as he appears. He worked extremely hard for his muscular physique.

Adonis weighed 310 pounds at 25 years old.

He was overweight and depressed.

One day, Adonis felt that he needed to get out of the house and go for a walk. His walks turned into jogs, and he slowly began to feel happier and healthier.

Adonis lost 100 pounds.

He began bodybuilding and entering competitions to build up muscle. He also works as a personal trainer, motivating clients to be the best versions of themselves and to never give up, just like him.

Adonis joined the A&E program Fit to Fat to Fit.

The series follows personal trainers and one of their clients as they pursue a weight loss journey. The personal trainer gains weight to motivate the client and must work equally hard to lose the weight.

This is what Adonis looked like before.

This is what he looked liked after gaining the weight.

Adonis gained 69 pounds in three months to help his client, Alissa, lose weight. Adonis is almost unrecognizable after the weight gain. He actually had to stop gaining weight before the show because his blood pressure was too high.

Adonis's weight gain process was monitored by doctors.

For three months, he stopped working out and ate extremely unhealthy food.

He began eating 6,000–7,000 calories daily. An average day for him was a coffee with lots of creamer and a doughnut for breakfast, pizza or hot dogs during the day, snacking on cookies, and eating McDonald's for dinner every night.

Adonis and Alissa worked hard to reach their goal weights.

They lifted weights, went for runs, and kept each other motivated throughout the weight loss process.

Adonis said it was a struggle the second time around to lose the weight.

"I was putting in a lot of work in the gym but...

"...eating right was hard this time because I was coming off an old addiction… I had to wean myself off unhealthy food.” To kickstart his weight loss, Adonis started a high-fat, high-protein, very low-carb diet, which allowed his body to more readily burn fat.

But Adonis's and Allisa's hard work paid off.

Both of them reached their goal weight.

Alissa lost 58 pounds and Adonis lost 54 pounds in four months.

The experience was about a lot of empathy, said Adonis.

He talked about his journey on New York's PIX 11.

"It's thinking about people, and what I've been through. And I thought to myself 'If I can change people and their perception about losing weight by going through it again, I'll do it.'"

Adonis's next project is to walk across America for obesity.

He will start in New York and end in California. It's quite the feat, but if anyone can do it, it's Adonis! He is raising money for the cause through his GoFundMe page.
