Kate Winslet Dishes On Why She Never Dated Leonardo DiCaprio

When I think of great on-screen love stories, I instantly think of Jack and Rose from Titanic. When it first came out, I went and saw it four times in theaters! That's just how much I was obsessed with it. Part of the reason why I watched it so many times was because I loved the chemistry between Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet. Their characters weren't the only ones in love because it really looked like Leo and Kate were meant to be together. They always have googly eyes when they see each other on the red carpet. And don't even get me started on the way they talk about each other! It really makes it seem like they belong together! Unfortunately, they've never made it past the friendship stage. So what happened? Kate reveals all in an interview that has us heartbroken!

Do you remember this scene from Titanic? The scene that made everyone's heart melt? The scene that had everyone saying, "THESE TWO BELONG TOGETHER FOREVER AND EVER"?

After Titanicwas over and done with, these two still remained as close as ever. 

They call each other "babe" and continue to support each other's careers. 

So... why haven't these two ever gotten together? It's one of the biggest mysteries in Hollywood! Well, Kate just opened up about the reason why these two never became a couple in real life. 

It seemed like these two were headed to blast past the friendship stage when they reunited on screen to film Revolutionary Road.

But then Leo gave her away when she married Ned Rocknroll in 2012. 

Kate said that nothing ever happened between the two of them because "there was never any romantic thing." 

She elaborated by saying that Leo never saw her in a romantic light. 

"He always saw me as one of the boys."

She continued by saying that she gets why everyone is upset. "It's so disappointing for people to hear that, because in the soap opera of the Kate and Leo story we fell in love at first sight and had a million snogs, but actually we never did."

"We needed each other to lean on because we were very young and working all kinds of crazy [long] hours and it was a shock to the system."

So they'll never end up together. Is your heart broken into a million pieces now? Don't worry! Just think about it like this: find a best friend that will look at you like Kate and Leo look at each other.
