Research ethics in the 1950s were a little more relaxed compared to what we have today. Back in the day, scientists would regularly give people psychoactive doses of LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) to test the effects on just about anyone. Yes, this was the wild-west of research in psychology and we have video evidence to prove how hilarious it was at times. In the current video, Dr. Sidney Cohen interviews a housewife at a VA hospital in Los Angeles as she takes an LSD drug trip.

He starts off by asking her how she feels before the drug has started to affect her. The woman is admittedly nervous about the whole situation, I mean, who wouldn't be? Things get REALLY interesting at about the 1:50 mark where the drug apparently kicks in. Let's just say that this 1950s housewife is one with the universe.

You have to see how LSD affects this woman for yourself, it's priceless.

COMMENT on Facebook with your favorite part. I knew I loved this video at 5:30, "I wish I could see it in technicolor."
