A Young Boy Climbs Onto A Glass Table And Disaster Strikes

As a parent, I can tell you that children were designed to get into and destroy everything. I knew this the moment I found my two-year-old dumping four liters of milk on every roll of toilet paper in the house. For her, she was just learning how absorbent toilet paper is. For me, I was sitting on the toilet without toilet paper. I can still hear that tiny voice from the other side of the house yelling "hey Daddy, look, milky papers!" No matter how much trouble they get into, you still love them more than anything. 

As adults, we forget what it's like to be completely free.  We also forget what it was like to possess a level of curiosity that used to get us into utterly disastrous situations. As a parent, you do everything to try and predict what random object or piece of furniture in the immediate vicinity will be the next to peak your child's interest. Unfortunately, every once in a while they will shock you with their ingenuity. The second you let your guard down as a parent, you get punished, horribly punished. This sounds utterly exhausting, and you would be 100% correct. 

This is what the current video is all about. You wouldn't expect that the patio table could be one of the most dangerous objects in your backyard, but it is. The video starts off with a young boy, who probably found that he had a handful of seconds out of his parents' sight, trying to climb onto the family's glass patio table. He doesn't just climb onto the table, though, he angles a patio chair against the table to climb up in, a more exciting way. As soon as the video opens, you gasp. But it doesn't end there!

So, you probably guessed that he makes it onto the table. This isn't going to shock most parents reading this article. Most of us probably have a child standing on a table right now. 

When you start to see the glass flex on the table, you know things aren't going to end up well for this little Knievel. Look closely at the post at the 35-second mark when the canopy post begins to slowly fall. That's the moment when this little boy gets the scare of his life.

I knew as soon as I saw this kid's American flag swimming trunks that something insane was about to happen... 

I won't give any more away, but let's just say this boy escaped with minor scratches and bruises. Thank God for those crossing bars on the table, otherwise, he could have been seriously injured. Go ahead, check out the video for yourself, my description doesn't quite do it justice.

My thoughts and prayers are with this family because this little guy is as curious as they come. Good luck finding a new patio table!
