10 Futuristic Weapons That Will Keep America On Top

SHARE
There are so many things in this world worth fighting for, but is it ever truly worth fighting other human beings and killing each other? Realistically, there are very few reasons to do so, but there are times when people go too far and have to be dealt with and war becomes the only method of doing so. That's why World War II broke out. People did things deemed so horrible that countries bounded together to stop them from committing such cruel acts. For a very, very long time, America has been a superpower in the world. I mean, everybody speaks English and our dollar is the currency of the world. Unsurprisingly, our military is super advanced, and that's what's going to help us keep our place as #1.

1. The XM-25 grenade launcher comes with a laser-guided system and computer that allows the projectiles to explode beside the target, effectively hitting people in cover.

2. Not every weapon is meant to kill, with the Active Denial System being one of those. Instead, it makes you feel like your SKIN IS ON FIRE.

3. While not "technically" a weapon, the long range acoustic device can send sound waves so loud that you pretty much have no choice but to cover your ears and cry.

4. While drones aren't THAT new, the MQ-9 Reaper Drone is intense, as it's armed with a plethora of weapons (hello, missiles).

5. Tasers are pretty crazy, right? Well, the Taser shockwave launches a barrage of them, being able to tame most situations with relative ease.

6. As if airborne drones weren't enough, fully robotic soldiers are becoming a thing. The only reason they're not being used yet? They have so many weapons that can't be trusted.

7. The Laser Avenger can shoot down drones with a laser, making it so ammo doesn't have to even be used.

8. This railgun is capable of launching non-explosive ammo at speeds greater than the speed of sound and is expected to be implemented in submarines in the near future.

9. The USS Zumwalt is relatively odd looking when compared to other ships, but for a good reason. Its design allows it to avoid radar detection.

10. Self-guided bullets are capable of turning a mediocre shooter into an expert marksman, all thanks to the CPU located within the bullet.
