People's Personality Can Pop Out Of Their Penmanship

SHARE
Have you ever wondered why people write so differently from one another? Some people take the time to make sure every single letter is legible, or sometimes people have a slight lean to their text. I've always had the feeling that writing style can say something about the person doing the writing but have never been able to confirm that. Interestingly, a field of science called graphology has uncovered some interesting things that your writing style can say about your personality. Business Insider recently interviewed a master graphologist to get the lowdown on aspects of handwriting and what they may mean.

COMMENT on Facebook if your handwriting style matches up with your personality.

Some people seems to have impeccable handwriting...

...and others seem to have something wrong with their hands. Some people even write so small you can't read it!

Personally, my writing leans to the right. Surprisingly enough, the study of graphology has narrowed down what the peculiarities of your handwriting say about your personality type. This is what they say...

1. The size of your writing.

Believe it or not, if you tend to write with larger letters than others, this may mean that you're someone who longs to be seen and noticed by others. You want others to know and understand you.

Master graphologist Kathi McKnight thinks that the flipside of this personality, introversion, may be associated with those who write smaller.

2. A slant in your writing may also say quite a bit about you as well.

Someone who writes with a right slant is thought to be friendly and sentimental. Friends and family are what's important to you.

No slant is thought to mean that you are non-emotional and pragmatic. You live by logical rules.

A left lean in your writing is similar in meaning to writing in small text. These individuals may be more introspective.

Did you know that even the amount of pressure you place on the page can say a lot about you?

3. Do you write with a lot of pressure or lightly?

Kathi McKnight says that those people who press harder on the page are thought to be intensely emotional and, perhaps, are quick to react in various situations.

Those who place less pressure on the page are easygoing and not worn out emotionally.

4. You probably wouldn't know it, but the way you loop or retrace an "l" or "t" may also be revealing.

Those who loop their "l" in cursive writing are thought to be hopeful for the future and have big dreams. Retracing your "l" and leaving out the loop may indicate that you have had your dreams crushed at some point in your life.

A looped "t" is thought to mean that you are somewhat paranoid and don't take kindly to criticism. Finally, a retraced "t" could be a sign that you're a disciplined, stable person.

What about if you write your letters close together?

5. The way you make certain decisions in life are thought to be related to how close together you write letters.

Spread out letters may mean that you are intelligent and have a well-informed intuition, while closely connected letters are thought to mean that you are methodical and careful when making decisions.

6. Do you cross your "t" high or low?

Crossing your "t" high could indicate that you have lofty goals and are confident in yourself, while a low cross could mean that you have major insecurities.

7. Last, but not least, we have dotting an "i".

A hollow circle for the "i" dot can indicate that you are artistic and child-like. A filled-in dot may mean that you are detail-oriented.
