12 TV Sidekicks Who Steal The Show

SHARE
I have a problem and that is that I love watching TV. Like, a lot. I have an extreme obsession and I never see it going away! The one thing I've noticed when watching TV is that I normally fall in love with the supporting characters instead of the main ones! Honestly, the sidekicks usually end up being funnier and cooler than the predictable main characters! They usually get the funny one-liners or the weird but memorable storyline. Here is a list of the show-stealing sidekicks who keep me tuning in... again, and again, and again.

1. Dwight Schrute on The Office

As the Assistant (to the) Regional Manager, Dwight brought all the laughs. He was the one who brought us beet farms, bears, and Battlestar Galactica knowledge.

2. George Constanza on Seinfeld

George is as complicated as it gets when it comes to characters! He was neurotic, cheap, and dishonest, but was 10 times funnier than Jerry Seinfeld. Admit it!

3. Andy Dwyer on Parks and Recreation

Andy always had the best one-liners! Remember when he was Burt Macklin the FBI agent? Or remember when he traded everything he had for lions during model UN? Andy was hilarious, but he was also endearing because of how much he loved April!

4. Karen Walker on Will & Grace

Karen was the sassy friend who always had a comeback for everything. Now that I think about it, who even were Will and Grace? Nobody cares about them! It's all about Karen!

5. Sookie St. James on Gilmore Girls

Who else screamed when she appeared in the Gilmore Girls revival?! Sookie was always the best because she was there when Lorelai needed her, and whatever she made in the kitchen always looked delicious. Sookie was the perfect amount of kooky and dorky!

6. Willow Rosenberg from Buffy the Vampire Slayer

Everybody wants to talk about how Buffy saved the world, but what about Willow? Um... she went from being a meek computer nerd to a powerful witch!

7. Phoebe Buffay on Friends

Now, I know what you're thinking. Phoebe is a sidekick? Well, she kind of is! She definitely isn't considered one of the main friends. Phoebe was a scene-stealer who was silly and a bit kooky. Also, how can you not love a character who sang about smelly cats?!

8. Cristina Yang on Grey's Anatomy

Cristina was the one who was always there for Meredith when she was whining about something in her life. And sometimes when she was finally fed up with Mer, she was brutally honest and told her to suck it up. Does anyone else miss her dry sense of humor?!

9. Niles Crane on Frasier

Niles was always overshadowed by his older brother, but he was hilarious on his own! He always challenged his brother and his storyline with Daphne was equal parts funny and adorable. Remember when he was getting ready and accidentally set his pants on fire? Classic Niles!

10. Kalinda Sharma on The Good Wife

Kalinda stole every scene she was in! She's mysterious and the only one who always got the job done. No wonder everyone always wanted to work with her at the law firm!

11. Suzanne "Crazy Eyes" Warren on Orange is the New Black

Suzanne is weird, but she cares so deeply about the people that she loves. She's there right by your side if you need protection but she'll also share her yogurt ration with you. That's just the kind of person that Suzanne is!

12. Stuart Bloom on The Big Bang Theory

In my opinion, Stuart isn't featured enough on the show! His self-deprecating humor makes him a great addition.
