Mom Has Perfect Reply To People Saying Her Daughter Is Too Big For A Stroller

SHARE
As kids, we're taught so many different things. Realistically, trying to remember all of them is a huge task, but we eventually all learn to do it because there are social norms we end up following, such as varying levels of politeness, and other kinds of basic etiquette. Does that mean we should conform and not be our own person? Of course not, that wouldn't make sense. One thing that most people tend to forget, however, is that we shouldn't judge people based on their appearance. Just because something may look odd to us, doesn't mean that there isn't a perfectly good explanation behind it.

Take oysters, for example!

From the outside, they're not very nice-looking, right?

But when you crack them open, voila! Pearls!

And let's be honest here, pearls are gorgeous.

In contrast to that, people can look okay but end up doing some things that are deemed out of the norm.

This actually happens quite often!

This little girl goes by the name "Miss M."

She looks like your average young girl, right?

Well, there's something you should know...

Sometimes, Miss M has to sit in a stroller.

Because of this, she often gets looks and rude comments from passersby.

It had gotten so bad that her mother decided to take a stand, posting a message that read:

"The reason Miss M is sitting in a buggy (not looking happy, I may add) is because she has Joint Hypermobility Syndrome."

Rachel, Miss M's mom, goes on to say:

"When she walks more than usual or when it’s too hot, she suffers pain in her lower body. Her legs, ankles, and feet are very painful and so she actually can not walk far at all without needing to be picked up."

Sadly, you could never tell this by simply looking at her.

This only solidifies the fact that, sometimes, we can't see everything that's wrong.

Rachel finishes off her message by saying:

"So the next time you see a child in a buggy and he/she looks too old to be in it. Don’t judge or assume the child or parent is lazy... From a fed up mum with a daughter who can’t walk at the moment without being in pain!"

Rachel's message about her daughter is such an important one that details exactly why we shouldn't judge people based on preconceived notions!
