16 Signs Your Girl Is Wife Material

16 Signs Your Girl Is Wife Material

Love ain't easy, fellas.

Love ain't got a sign that it holds up when you've found "the one." Love also ain't got a sign that it holds up when you're effing everything up with "the one" and when it would be a good time to stop talking, jackass. Damn...I wish love had that sign.

Fear not, fellas. Because while love's signs may not be blatant, they do exist. You just have to be paying attention. Like, when she orders you a bouquet of flower-shaped bacon. That's a sign. Or when she's willing to dress up as a fictional electric rodent from a cartoon made for 8-year-olds that your 25-year-old ass is still obsessed with (see #13). That's also a sign.

Those are just a couple, but I promise you that after you've read all 16 of my signs, you'll be more confident than ever navigating the tricky world of lusting and loathing. Just remember: the trick to finding true love ultimately comes from you speaking less.

Cheers, fellas.

1. Waking up with a hangover to these.

2. Not sure if domestic violence or playful drunk fun. But it ended with bacon so...win?

3. When your girlfriend is "let me Snapchat him dad jokes" cool.

4. If she embraces you having explosive diarrhea at a moment's notice, she's a keeper.

5. I've never heard of a woman proposing to a man, but if it happens, it should be done like this.

6. If she makes sushi that looks like this, her sashimi is probably pretty fresh too.

7. Bouquet of bacon? Say no more.

8. The important detail here is that she went through all this trouble and still brought the pizza.

9. Say no more. I'll be right over.

10. You kids wanna hear about a little trick that helped your mom graduate from med school with no debt and chapped nipples?

11. She accepts you for who you are. And then still packs your lunch.

12. She's girlfriend material if this is her idea of an ideal Valentine's Day present.

13. She's an active contributor to all your fetishes.

14. I-uh. Hmm...Well...I am hungry.

15. Single mom who keeps it cool under pressure. Desirable attributes indeed.

16. I'm sure this has multiple real-world applications that'd make her a keeper.

Some Things I Wish Someone Told Me About Adulting

Some Things I Wish Someone Told Me About Adulting

I remember when I was a kid, I was in such a hurry to grow up. I thought that growing up meant you could stay up as late as you wanted, eat all the ice cream you wanted, and watch the shows that your parents always said no to.

Now, I know that it's a lot more complicated than I once thought. Sometimes, I wish I could go back to simpler times...or at least try to find some sort of owner's manual.

No such luck yet.

You don't get rewarded

I don't get paid for good grades anymore. I miss that. I wish I got a trophy for every time I got out of my pjs. I regret thinking school was hard.

It's not the tastiest slice of pie

It's really nowhere near pie at all. In fact, it's more like having 1000 Horcruxes. A piece of your soul belongs to each major responsibility you have, and you never get it back. I can't say that I remember ever signing up for this.

You can't escape

Life is very much like the ghosts from Pac-Man: It will catch up to you no matter how fast you run or how well you prepare. Unfortunately, eating your problems is not the best course of action in real life. Curse you, Pac-Man, and your false advertising!

Money doesn't grow on trees

Instead of the latest gadget, I now ask for money on birthdays and other occasions. I used to think money would replenish itself. Now, I'm thankful for whatever relief comes my way.

There's no manager

I never thought I would be the type of person to complain to a manager. If there was one for adulthood, though, my list of complaints would be a mile high.

15 Times Teachers Had The Best Sense Of Humor

15 Times Teachers Had The Best Sense Of Humor

Teachers are always imagined to be soulless creatures with stern looks and a ruler in their hand ready to beat you senseless if you utter a word out of line in class or get an answer wrong. Maybe I'm the only one who pictured their teachers that way...don't ask me about my childhood.

But seriously, we don't realize that teachers are people too. They actually do things on weekends and don't disappear in thin air only to reappear in first period Monday morning. They have friends, family, pets, preferences, favorite foods, aaaaand some of them even have a sense of humor! Shocking, really.

These teachers are absolutely hilarious and hey, at least they know that if teaching doesn't work out for them they can always fall back on comedy.

1. The clock of doom:

2. Mrs. Azrai decided to take the hilarious passive aggressive route when scolding Josh for his "missing" homework.

3. Whoever this teacher is deserves a high five for hating on all the overly-attached couples.

4. This teacher makes sure his kids don't take home the pencils they borrow.

5. This teacher knows how to make everyone feel good about their piano skills.

6. This nerdy as hell teacher who made a formula to say Merry Christmas.

7. There's a Chemistry teacher somewhere in the world teaching like this:

8. An honest teacher is a good teacher.

9. Teachers that cut their kids some slack are the best...and the funniest.

10. Teachers get fed up with life and this is the result: making believe they're there when they're not.

11. This awesome teacher ACTUALLY answers this boy's question on how to text a girl, albeit sarcastically.

12. This teacher knows the right way to bribe their students.

13. This hilarious teacher knows to respond to ridiculous answers with ridiculous notes.

14. Life lesson: always question the man.

15. Best hashtags in the history of hashtags.

What Is Your Headache Telling You? Warning Signs Your Headache Is
Dangerous

What Is Your Headache Telling You? Warning Signs Your Headache Is Dangerous

Everyone's had a day in bed with a headache. Sometimes, admittedly, we did it to ourselves. A good night out is a great way to score a killer cranium the next day, and the only reason that pain isn't worrisome is that we all know how it happened. But what about those times when you don't know where your headache is from? Headaches, like most aches and pains, are the way your body tells you, "Hey, listen up dude, I need something". That "something" can be pretty benign, but it could be a sign of something more serious.

Thunderclap Headache Is Nothing To Clap About (Put Your Damn Hands Down)

These headaches are scary because they come out of effing nowhere. This baby has a severe and sudden onset and takes only seconds to reach maximum intensity. It can be an indicator of a number of health problems. The scariest of these is a subarachnoid hemorrhage, which can be life-threatening.

"Enforce This!" — This Guy's Head

There are many times in life when your head is going to just give you a big "nope" and keep you aching in the dark with a bucket. Some people risk head injury for a living and though this is a fact of life (hockey, boxing, football, etc. are not possible without risk of injury), pain needs to be monitored to keep serious problems from developing.

Rise And Shine! You Get A Headache For Breakfast!

If you're waking up wanting to rip your hair out BEFORE finding out you have nothing to wear, you may have a headache that needs attention. According to The National Headache Foundation, "Serious diseases may cause early morning awakening headaches. These diseases may include brain tumors, sleep apnea, and severe high blood pressure."

There Is Something In Medicine Known Simply As "The Worst Headache Of Your Life"

This is also known as a cluster headache, but you can easily find it putting "The Worst Headache Of Your Life" into Google because doctors literally call it that. It's unclear what causes these monsters, but they usually strike in one part of the head and make it nearly impossible to live a normal life until the headache decides to leave you alone.

All The Other Unusual Feels That You Get Above The Shoulders

It's easy to scar yourself when you look at these but don't worry, this is just to give you and your doctor something to talk about. Take note if you notice headache-related changes in vision, digestion, mood, neck tension and irritability.

A Chart And Everything! You're Welcome!

Like every important thing on the internet, there's a chart for that. Headaches can be serious or not, depending on what causes them. Having a visual way of describing your problem will help health-care professionals classify your headache accurately and get you the help you need (although, you're probably fine, don't freak out).

Medical Errors Are The 3rd Most Common Cause Of Death And We Didn't

Medical Errors Are The 3rd Most Common Cause Of Death And We Didn't Know For Years

There's a reason it takes so many years of training to become a doctor. Between the unpredictable medical problems a physician will be forced to deal with, the equally unpredictable hoursM and the nerve-wracking strain of medicine's most complicated procedures, it can be one of the world's hardest jobs. So it's no surprise that it can't always be done perfectly.

Usually, an error will spring up when it comes time to diagnose a patient's affliction. Considering how many possible diseases can have similar symptoms, it understandable why a doctor would think their patient suffers from an allergy or asthma when they don't. It also makes sense that more complicated surgeries would invite the greater likelihood of making a mistake.

Sadly, sometimes there's no turning back from these errors. Whether it's one haunting false move or a tragic mischaracterization of the problem, patients can and do die from doctor mistakes.

Strangely, when it comes to determining the cause of death, there's no code for the role of medical error in someone's demise. This means the issue becomes severely underreported, making it impossible to find out how often it happens without independent research.

Fortunately, such research was published in the BMJ, and the results are staggering.

Please COMMENT and let us know if you think we have a right to know how many people die from medical errors.

It turns out Medical Error is the third most common cause of death in the U.S.

It's responsible for 400,000 deaths a year, putting it just behind cancer and heart disease as America's leading killer.

With all the ways it can happen, it makes sense that it would be so high.

One category they looked at was known as "errors of execution," where a doctor's skill failed them, or they made the wrong judgment call during a delicate procedure.

In one such case, a needle accidentally punctured a patient's liver, causing an undetected rupture.

Other deaths seem to come from errors in planning.

Whether it comes from treating the wrong illness or pursuing the wrong treatment option, this can also lead to a patient's death if their condition requires an immediate response.

Sometimes it boils down to something as simple as a breakdown in communication.

If there's a lack of understanding between patient and doctor, this can also put the patient's well-being at risk.

So what can we do about it?

It's impossible to completely eliminate the problem of medical errors simply because we can't end human error in general. But that doesn't mean there's nothing to be done.

First, researchers say we need to make medical errors more visible.

Ideas for this range from including a relevant field on death certificates to changing the cause of death codes to creating a culture of "speaking up" in the medical community.

After all, we can't hope to solve a problem if we don't have all the information we need to know where to start.

From there, hospitals can know how to respond if an error does occur.

Researchers suggest this should take the form of relief doctors or remedies to rescue the patient when something goes wrong.

From these steps, the medical community can create a culture of safety.

Hopefully, this will result in a decrease of deaths by medical error.

Please COMMENT and tell us what you think could help solve this problem.

People Who Aren't In A Happy Relationship Are More Likely To Cheat

People Who Aren't In A Happy Relationship Are More Likely To Cheat

People are constantly worrying. With everything happening so quickly these days, it's kind of normal to be worried about life. What if you just lost your job tomorrow? Do you have a backup? What if a crazy storm hit your town and you were left homeless? While this likely won't happen to most of us (hopefully), there are other things that can prove to be more common threats. What would you do if your partner cheated on you?

Do you know anyone in a relationship? SHARE this with them!

I'm sure this is what the ideal relationship would look like, but sadly, this isn't the case for most of us.

So, how can you tell if your partner is a cheater?

A study recently published in the Personality and Social Psychology Bulletin looked into something related to partner preference.

In the study, they told 131 undergrads that they would be given a new lab partner.

After being shown a picture of their future lab partner, they were asked to identify them from a collection of 11 photos.

10 of the 11 photos were digitally altered, while one was the original.

Of the 11 photos, five were altered to make the partner look more attractive and another five were altered to make them look less attractive.

The researchers found that people in happy relationships tended to pick a less attractive photo as their partner. They were even given a $50 incentive to choose correctly.

They believe that this is due to something called "devaluing temptation," which is a defense mechanism. Essentially, they devalue potential mates and prefer the values in their current partner.

So there it is. The happier your relationship, the happier (and more faithful) it will stay!

So remember, if you have an argument, talk it out like adults!

Do you know anyone in a long-term relationship? Don't forget to SHARE this with them!
