Unless you've been living under a rock these past few weeks, chances are you've come down with a serious case of Olympic fever. Since lighting the torch, people all over the world have been spending any free time they have watching the world's greatest athletes compete for a chance to wear some gold around their neck. But even though these hard-working athletes are the greatest on the planet, very few of them ever become household names.

One of the most iconic Olympic athletes of our generation has to be Jamaica's Usain Bolt. Widely known as the fastest man in the world, Usain has dominated the international sprinter's game. But there's a lot we don't know about the Lightning Bolt. Check it out.

1. He is the first person to ever win three consecutive 100m Olympic Gold Medals.

And the entire nation of Jamaica loves him for it.

2. He refuses to train anywhere besides Jamaica.

Rumor has it that he actually kind of takes it easy when he leaves his homeland.

3. He's technically the slowest runner on the track throughout the first 50m.

He doesn't truly pick up speed until the 60-80m mark.

4. He adopted a cheetah.

World's fastest man meets world's fastest animal.

5. He had a terrible diet during the 2008 Games in Beijing.

He actually admitted to eating somewhere around 100 McDonald's chicken nuggets a day during the trip.

6. He suffers from scoliosis.

Believe it or not, Usain's spine has a nasty curve to it, but he somehow still performs at an incredibly high level.

7. He is a die-hard cricket fan.

As a little kid he always cheered for the Pakistani team.

8. He is one of only eight athletes to ever win a world championship at the youth, junior, and senior level of an athletic event.

Seriously, this guy is the real deal.

9. As a child, he spent his time helping his parents run their grocery store.

He did this with his brother and sister.

10. He owns a restaurant called Tracks And Records.

11. He has never, ever run a mile.
