1. Magic Mike was all based on his experiences as a male stripper. He stripped for eight months because he really needed the cash.
But he didn't even end up making that much! "On a good night, I would make $150. Not as much as you think. On a bad night, $70 – even $50 at times."
2. His stage name was Chan Crawford.
Ooohh. Chan Crawford sounds very mysterious!
3. Channing showed off his dance moves in Step Up but he can do a lot more than that. His parents made him play tons of sports growing up, like baseball, track and field, soccer and football!
He even practiced martial arts as a child. Whoa. This guy is athletic!
4. Channing's first job in Hollywood was actually as a dancer in Ricky Martin's music video for "She Bangs." He only earned $400 for it!
Rewatch it and see if you can spot him! Hint: he's shirtless.

6. Channing revealed that on the set of The Eagle, he and the other cast members would pour hot water down their pants to keep warm. One time, a crew member forgot to dilute the water and Channing burnt his crotch!
7. Channing met his future wife on the set of Step Up. Him and Jenna Dewan began dating right after filming ended.
8. Allegedly, Emma was so weirded out by Channing's performance in This Is The End that she couldn't watch him film his scenes and left set for a bit.
But his surprise cameo is the funniest part of that movie!
9. Channing said that he is so confident in his dancing skills that if he gets into a disagreement with someone, he likes to suggest that they have a dance off instead of an actual physical fight.
10. Channing admitted that he didn't take any acting lessons until he got the lead role in Dear John. He took acting classes while on set so he could deliver a better performance.
11. He spent most of his childhood living in Mississippi and he was the unofficial exterminator for his family. One time, he had to catch an alligator because it had gotten too big.

13. Channing said he lost his wedding ring one time while on set! Jenna wasn't very happy about it so he wore a string around his ring finger until he got a replacement ring.
14. He admitted to GQ that he had an imaginary friend named Boy. "I would make a plate for him and all that. Crazy behavior. I think I just lived in an imaginary world."
Awww. Don't worry about it, Chan! We all grew up with an imaginary friend.
15. To make Magic Mike, Channing and the director Steven Soderbergh financed the whole movie. It cost them $6.5 million!
16. Channing gets sointo his roles for movies. In Foxcatcher, he was supposed to hit his head against a mirror that was coated with a protective plastic sheath. Except he hit it too hard and completely shattered it!
He cut himself and so the blood you see in that scene is all his!
SHAREif you love Channing and all his movies!
I really just can't get over how good he looks in this sailor outfit!
