11 Female Friendship Truths As Told By 'The Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants'

I absolutely love watching TV shows and movies that focus on female friendship. I was obsessed with the Traveling Pants books (all four!) and the movies. I really loved reading about their separate adventures and how the women managed to stick together through thick and thin. The movies catapulted Alexis Bledel, Blake Lively, America Ferrera and Amber Tamblyn into superstardom and now we're (im)patiently waiting for the third movie! While we wait, here's a reminder of all the fantastic lessons we learned about friendship from the movie!

1. Friends should always share clothes. 

Especially if you stumble upon a magical pair of jeans. Definitely share those.

2. The best friends are the ones who go shopping with you and tell you their opinion on what you're trying on. Good and bad.

3. The best friendships come from the most unlikely places. 

Tibby and Bailey met when Tibby was just going about her day as an employee at a drugstore. 

I loved when they started working together and hanging out!

4. Friends should always be there to freak out with you over how attractive someone is. 

5. Different personalities can actually help strengthen friendships! 

All the women are so different from each other! Bridget is sporty and confident, Carmen is witty and sensitive, Lena is creative and shy, and Tibby is outspoken and brave. 

They're friends no matter what! 

I'm literally Bridget. The one being awkward and not getting in on the hug.

6. Your girlfriends have got your back. They'll always help you get ready for a hot date. 

7. Distance doesn't matter in friendships! Even if you are separated, there are so many ways to stay up-to-date with each other. You could send each other pants, or you know, Facebook message each other like normal people. 

And when you meet up in person, you'll have so much to discuss too! 

Or you can meet in the dead of night like Lena, Tibby, Bridget and Carmen did! I don't know but I just prefer to meet in the daytime in a place where I haven't broken into. You know?

8. They're always there for you when you need a good cry or you need to rant. 

They are at your side ready with junk food!

9. You can tell each other anything and even fight but at the end of the day, they always want what's best for you. And they'll never judge you!

The women supported Lena with Kostos, Carmen with her dad and Tibby with what happened to Bailey.

You might even talk on the street all in a line about your problems and then annoy people behind you.

10. True friends are always up for being weird in public places. 

11. But most importantly, they'll always be down to take weird pictures with you to get that perfect Instagram shot.
