You Probably Missed This Little Detail Between Hopper And Eleven In 'Stranger Things'

SHARE
If you're part of the 1% of the population who isn't on board with Stranger Things, you might as well stop reading now because you won't appreciate the absolute MAGIC of this situation.

Throughout the first and second season of the show, fans have picked up on a small yet meaningful detail in one the show's best relationships, Hopper and Eleven. You may want some tissues handy for this one.

So firstly, it's important to remember that Hopper wasn't always a bitter, sarcastic shell of a man.

But don't get me wrong, we totally love him for all of these traits.

In Season 1, we get to see flashbacks of Hopper with his wife and his daughter, Sara, before she falls terminally ill.

See the blue tie in her hair? Remember it.

Hopper remains by Sara's bedside while she's admitted to hospital and, ultimately, passes away.

Note how in this scene, the hair tie that Sara was previously wearing is now seen on Hopper's wrist.

You may be thinking, "A blue hair tie? Really?"

But just you wait and see. Things are about to get thrown upside down (ha ha ha, get it?!) from here.

Throughout the rest of Season 1 and into Season 2, we continue to see the blue hair tie popping up on Hopper's wrist.

It's such a subtle detail that it's completely easy to miss.

Here's the blue hair tie again in this scene.

I consider myself to be a die-hard Stranger Thingsfan, yet somehow I never noticed this very important little detail.

Now let's fast-forward to Season 2, where Hopper steps in as Eleven's protector.

He makes her a little home at his grandfather's old hunting cabin and is dedicated to keeping her safe.

At the end of Season 2, Hopper even goes so far as to make their father-daughter relationship official.

"Doc" presents him with this birth certificate, and we basically all cried tears of joy.

During the last episode of Season 2, Eleven shows up to the Snow Ball and proceeds to dance with Mike.

And did you notice what she happens to be wearing on her wrist...?

YES, IT'S THE EXACT SAME BLUE HAIR TIE THAT SARA, AND LATER HOPPER, WERE WEARING.

So basically, Hopper adopted Eleven as his daughter, and the hair tie is symbolic of their relationship.

If this small detail linking Hopper and Eleven doesn't melt your cold, bitter heart, then I fear nothing will.

They're seriously the cutest duo ever, and this little detail further proves that.

It's clear that Hopper is going to be the best father ever to Eleven, and we can't wait to see more of their relationship in Season 3.

MELT MY HEART, WHY DON'T YA?!
