5-Year-Old Gets The Same Haircut As His Best Friend To Prank Their Teacher

When you're a kid and you have a best friend, you want to do everything together. You want the same shoes, the same toys, and even the same haircuts! It can often feel as though you're twins, even though you're not related by blood. That best friend bond is precious, and there is a reason "BFF" jewelry has thrived for decades. 

So of course, when it came time for five-year-old Jax to get a haircut, he told his mom that he wanted the same style as his best friend, Reddy.

With matching haircuts, Jax was certain that their teacher wouldn't be able to tell he and Reddy apart. It was going to be the perfect prank!

"He wanted it buzzed, down to his scalp," Jax's mom, Lydia Stith Rosebush told Inside Edition, "He wanted to look like Reddy."

The detail that Jax seemed to be overlooking was that Reddy, who is also five, is African-American. The only significant difference to him was their haircuts. 

As Jax's mom said in her Facebook post: "If this isn't proof that hate and prejudice is something that is taught I don't know what is." 

"The only difference Jax sees in the two of them is their hair," she continued.
