15 Things To Know About 'The Big Bang Theory's Johnny Galecki

It'd be pretty hard to find someone who hasn't watched The Big Bang Theory. Almost every TV show is struggling to get viewers while Big Bang manages to get 18 million people to tune in every week! It's clearly the biggest television show in the world and has turned the cast into superstars. Johnny Galecki will always be known for playing Leonard on Big Bang but he's been acting for decades! You think you might know the funny man because you watch him every week on CBS. But here's the definitive list of fun facts that everyone should know about Johnny Galecki!

1. Johnny is the second highest paid actor on television! This is the second year he's made the top five. 

Just this year alone, he's made $24 million! 

2. Johnny doesn't actually wear glasses IRL. His character on Big Bangdoes but his glasses don't even have lenses in them!

3. He's known his Big Bang co-star, Mayim Bialik, since they were both teenagers! They met when Johnny was a guest star on Blossom. 

4. Mayim and Johnny are good friends and there's one incident that Mayim will never forget. In an interview, she said that he was invited to her 16th birthday party but he got into a motorcycle accident on the way there! 

5. Nobody knew until much later, but Johnny secretly dated his co-star, Kaley Cuoco, for almost two years! In interviews, they've both said that they're still close and it wasn't a bad break-up. 

They're both so mature! And now they still get to entertain us as Penny and Leonard, the couple that we all root for!

6. Originally, Johnny was supposed to play Sheldon! But he knew that he would be better at playing Leonard. 

Whoa, can you imagine Johnny as Sheldon?! 

7. Johnny's more than just talented at acting! He's also been an accomplished cellist since he was a child!

8. When Johnny was on Roseanne, Roseanne Barr mentioned to him, and in interviews, that she was blown away by his acting. She was most impressed with the fact that he showed "great vulnerability." 

9. In Bounce, he had a very small role acting alongside Ben Affleck. That role was actually specifically written for Johnny!

10. He's a big animal lover! In 2009, he was out for a walk when he saw a dog left in a box. He adopted the dog and named her Vera!

11. Johnny dropped out of school in the eighth grade and started professionally acting. By the age of 14, he was already living by himself in California! It sounds like fun but he said the experience wasn't that fun and was actually really intimidating and lonely.

12. Johnny made a small cameo in the beginning of the horror movie, I Know What You Did Last Summer. Supposedly, he was so scary in the scene that Jennifer Love Hewitt was seriously freaked out!

13. When he was 10 years old, he begged his parents to let him get his ear pierced. They refused to give their permission and so Johnny took a pin and pierced his own ear!

14. When he can, Johnny loves to paint and sketch. Seriously, what can't this man do?!

15. He's earning $24 million a year so where does that money go to? Well, Johnny owns an amazing log cabin in California. He loves to go there to relax when the show is on hiatus. It's not just the log cabin he owns, he owns 360 acres of land surrounding the place!
