So, I will be the first person to admit that I pretty much know nothing about cars. I know how to change a tire (maybe), but for anything more than that, I always have to take it into a shop, which can be laborious and frustrating when the mechanics mansplain your car to you.
Luckily, there is a shop out there trying to change the relationship women have with their vehicles.
Girls Auto Clinic in Pennsylvania was created by Patrice Banks, an engineer and automotive technician.
She started the shop so that she could create a comfortable, educational environment for female customers to learn more about their vehicles.
Then came the addition of the Clutch Beauty Bar, a salon that turned the shop into a sensation.
They'll teach you more about the automotive industry while you get your hair blown out, a manicure, a pedicure — you name it!
The auto shop no longer has to be a place you dread!
