When you hear that an illness or some other type of infestation is spreading around town, understandably, you freak out. This is especially the case when you hear that it is spreading at your child's school. I freaked out when a lice infestation went around school when I was little. You do everything you can to not share hats with other students or touch each other's hair, but sometimes it just isn't enough to stop the little bugs from getting onto your scalp. In fact, hairstylists claim that they come across cases of lice every week or two! What I'm about to tell you will freak you out even more than this. An aggressive and large type of lice has been found in as many as 25 states.

Incredibly, these lice are not easily killed by the usual lice treatments! There may be some help for concerned parents out there, though. An expensive medication called AirAllé can help with cases of "super lice". Doctors say that while medications may be helpful in getting rid of infestations, spreading the word about ways to prevent the transfer of lice in the first place will be the best way to kill the new bug. That being said, there are numerous ways to prevent the spread of lice. For example, one should avoid sharing pillows with other children or siblings with lice, not share hair brushes, and avoid sharing hats. Another interesting option is to put you or your child's hair up as to prevent lice from actually reaching the scalp in the first place.
SHARE this important health warning to your friends so they can prevent a case of "super lice".
