The One Thing We Never Noticed In 'Easy A'

SHARE
Back in 2010, Easy A became a hit at the box office and won over critics and fans all over the world. It turned Emma into an A-list celeb and earned her a Golden Globe nomination. If you've seen it, you definitely know that nomination was deserved. She's absolutely hilarious in it, and there are so many lines that can be easily quoted from it. I don't know about you, but I've seen this movie at least five times. But I can tell you that I never noticed this one sneaky detail that the writers put in the movie!

Olive Penderghast is one of the best characters ever.

She's sassy 100% of the time.

And the best scene of all time is definitely when she spends the weekend jamming out to "Pocketful of Sunshine" that plays out of her birthday card.

"I got a – I got a– I got a– I got, got a pocket full of sunshine."

There's a sneaky little detail that the writers slipped into the movie, and it has to do with Olive! Keep reading to find out what it is...

If you're not familiar with the plot, Olive tells a little white lie about losing her virginity and suddenly everybody in school finds out. She decides to use the rumor mill to her advantage and continue playing up her new scandalous persona at school.

So have you ever paid attention to the name Olive Penderghast?

The character is actually the one to reveal the plot of the movie with just her name!

Penderghast is an anagram for "pretend shag."

THE WHOLE PLOT OF THE MOVIE WAS RIGHT THERE STARING US IN THE FACE.

Not only that, Olive is an anagram for "I love"!

Is your mind blown? Mine sure is!
