I love Michael Jordan. I must've seen every freakin' game that man played.
There must have been a million different things I put off to watch the Chicago Bulls WAYYYYY back in the day. Watching him, Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman weave across the court was the first religious experience I ever had.HOWEVER, all that being said, there is one thing I have against it and I will now proceed to flush it.
P.S. Don't tell anyone but scroll down to page two if you want the answer, man.
So Michael Jordan is literally the greatest basketball player who ever lived. That's not even including when he helped the the Looney Tunes once.
He's the most decorated player EVAH.
THIS is the greatest player, SON! Michael Jordan, the 6-time NBA champion, five MVP awards, 14 All-Star Game appearances.
Not to mention "three All-Star Game MVP Awards, ten scoring titles, three steals titles, six NBA Finals MVP Awards, and the 1988 NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award."
Throughout MJ's jaw-dropping career he made a lot of friends and the closest ones were his TOUGHEST competitors...
We're talking Shaq, Kobe Bryant, Shawn Kemp, Gary Payton, John Stockton AND Charles Barkley.
Charles Barkley USED to be friends with the Great One BUT he has a great sin against Jordan...
And it's pretty hurt McGert.
Barley said he'd always walk with MJ and when homeless people would ask for spare change, Jordan would slap Barkley's hand away and say:
"If they can ask you for spare change, they can say, 'Welcome to McDonald's, can I help you, please?'"
"Jordan is as cheap as they come." Charles told Conan O'Brien, "There's nobody cheaper than Scottie Pippen and Michael Jordan."
"The more successful you are, the more you should tip, I truly believe that..."
I mean it's a pretty HUGE indictment on a player to be called cheap ESPECIALLY when his net worth is $1.14 billion this year.
He's got long-term endorsement deals, his Jordan Brand brand and he OWNED the Charlotte Bobcats in 2010.
In fact, it's SO BAD that it is rumored that he's left restaurants in Chicago without even tipping the wait staff — and that's with bills upwards of $1000.
But Barkley spilled the beans on ANOTHER athlete and explains how MJ and him stopped being pals...
Charles said that pro golfer Tiger Woods should be ashamed of himself too because:
"I think that's why [Woods and Jordan are] rich," Barkley said. "They don't tip. That's their secret to being rich, they don't tip."
But too much truth from Barkley may have been too much. Michael's control of the Bobcats has been criticized by Barkley and it ruined their relationship.
"I think he took some things I said about the Bobcats personally and it's put a wedge between our friendship, and that's been disheartening for me. Very disheartening. Because one minute we're close and now it’s strained."
Maybe they should settle their differences on the court like old days...
COMMENT and tell us what you think of MJ's cheapness!
